Grahamnesty Gets Serious Primary Challenger

South Carolina

Lindsay Graham is being challenged by State Sen. Lee Bright:

“State Sen. Lee Bright officially announced his candidacy for U.S. Senate during a teleconference Tuesday.

Bright has been vocal about considering a run against two-term incumbent Sen. Lindsey Graham for months.

“I have looked at the record of Sen. Graham, and I feel like it’s time for a change,” Bright said. …”

Note: ThinkProgress is attacking Bright as a secessionist. He also believes that South Carolina should have its own currency.

  1. Doing a little more thinking. Grahamnesty is going to have money from the military-industrial complex heavily represented in the low country and the EL CHEAPO labor lobby, lots of it. Plus the power of incumbency. Bright is going to have to do one thing and only one thing if he wants to win: Make this election a one-issue referendum on immigration and only immigration, with himself as the immigration patriot and Grahamnesty as the open borders traitor. For this election, don’t let this election get sidetracked on anything else.

  2. It’s a matter of principle to take down a flaming queer, Neo Conservative war monger, Christian Zionist, open border immigration traitor. Can’t believe this guy’s a Senator from South Carolina – which pols Whites in South Carolina as being the most Conservative of any state.

Newt Gingrich, John McCain, Mike the Huckster Huckabee all did well in Presidential primaries in South Carolina. Polls also showed that White South Carolina thought John McCain was THE best candidate for defending our borders against illegal immigration.

    WTF?

  3. “Bright is going to have to do one thing and only one thing if he wants to win: Make this election a one-issue referendum on immigration and only immigration”

    Jack Replies:

How about the fact that Gramnesty is a flaming queer? That can’t play too well with South Carolina voters.

  4. Jack Ryan,

I sure didn’t vote for McCain. Maybe it’s the voting machines.

I don’t really mean that, but seriously one day someone’s going to fix those. The only secure voting system is black box, paper ballots.

  5. I heard an interviewee (a senate challenger, don’t know if it was a Graham challenger or other, I tuned in on the middle of the interview) on Glenn Beck positing that after amnesty had been won, McCain and Graham were going to switch parties and reap the benefits of their advocacy.

Sounds plausible to me. It’ll be interesting to watch.

  6. “McCain would be recalled if that happened. Graham would go down on flamers.”

I doubt it, they would probably both be re-elected.

  7. The Contards are doing their job of having us bend over backwards to the crazies of the anti-white left, but I insist it will basically only take one person to intelligently tell them to fuck off and go die in the gutter.

I have also long insisted that the person who defangs the word “racist” will be a hero, sorry essayists your post grad thesis will be long forgotten in the days of liberation.

  8. I would love to see Graham gone too. I deplore the man…. err… whatever it is. That said, even one really good senator replacing one really terrible senator would make basically no difference in Washington, DC. However, one anti-Federalist leader in a State government which already embraces some measure of resistance to the Feds could make a significant difference. I would just like to see our best people running for State office and then doing everything they can to fight the Feds’ agenda.

  9. I was listening to the radio the other day and a man from South Carolina called in to the show and apologized to the host and the audience for the election of Lindsay Graham. He then went on to “justify” that election by saying that “Tippy Toes” was the only Republican choice they had. Huh?

Have the American people been dumbed down so much that they don’t have a clue that keeping this man out of office, by whatever means necessary, is the only goal!!! He’s a traitor, among so many other things. Push any button, pull any lever that isn’t next to Graham’s name!!! Ditto for all the other traitors. I can assure everyone that when I come to Marco Rubio’s name in that booth, I will vote ‘Marx’ before I’d ever vote for that scumbag again (excuse my French).

  10. Jack Ryan just said:

It’s a matter of principle to take down a flaming queer, Neo Conservative war monger, Christian Zionist, open border immigration traitor.

    Something I completely agree with.

  11. South Carolina Tea Party Slams Huckabee for Supporting Lindsey Graham

    http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/01/03/South-Carolina-Tea-Party-Says-Huckabee-s-Ad-Supporting-Lindsey-Graham-is-Disgusting

Joe Dugan, executive producer of the South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention that will be held in Myrtle Beach from January 18th to the 20th, criticized former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee for supporting incumbent Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) in an ad that ran on television networks in South Carolina during the Capital One Bowl Game Wednesday.

“I thought it was disgusting,” Dugan said of the ad. The ad was paid for by a group called the South Carolina Conservative Action Alliance, a tax-exempt 501(c)4 non-profit.

In the ad Huckabee, who placed second in the race for the 2008 Republican nomination for President and is said to be considering another run in 2016, praised Graham effusively.

“There’s a leader in South Carolina who knows what it takes to win: Senator Lindsey Graham,” Huckabee says in the ad. “Call Lindsey Graham and thank him for being a conservative champion for peace through strength.”

“I think this ad and what has gone on in the Republican party shows the absolute need for a convention like the one we’ll be holding in Myrtle Beach from the 18th to the 20th,” Dugan told Breitbart News.

All four Tea Party challengers incumbent Republican Senator Lindsey Graham who will be on the ballot in the June primary will speak at the South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention.

Recent polls show that the four – State Senator Lee Bright, attorney and U.S. Army veteran Bill Connor, small business owner Nancy Mace (the first female graduate of the Citadel), and small business owner Richard Cash – lag far behind Graham. South Carolina is a runoff state, however, and if the four hold Graham below 50 percent, the candidate with the most votes among the four challengers will take on Graham in a two-person runoff just two weeks after the primary.

  12. Huckabee and Lindsey Graham should do a homo marriage in Israel, then honeymoon in Del Blassio’s New York City.
