Betsy DeVos Slams Socialist Takeover of Higher Education

It is an icy cold morning.

I’m in an icy cold mood again.

The Hill:

“Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos knocked the push for free college as a “socialist takeover of higher education” during an online conference Tuesday.

DeVos criticized the push during the Federal Student Aid office’s virtual conference, cautioning that a free college program would ruin the American economy. Her comments regarding the “truly insidious notion of government gift giving” come as President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration looms 50 days away.

“We’ve heard shrill calls to cancel, to forgive, to make it all free,” she said during the conference. “Any innocuous label out there can’t obfuscate what it really is: wrong. The campaign for free college is a matter of total government control. …

Biden has said he wants to have public colleges and universities offer free tuition for families that make less than $125,000 per year, in addition to bolstering loan forgiveness programs. The president-elect has also supported ideas to eliminate $10,000 in federal student debt for all borrowers in a COVID-19 relief measure, The Associated Press reported.  …”

Axios:

“Under Biden’s proposal, at least some of the $1.6 trillion in student debt would be eliminated for 44 million affected Americans.

He backs at least $10,000 in federal loan forgiveness, while more progressive Democrats including Sens. Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren have advocated for forgiveness up to $50,000.

Biden has also promised to cover tuition at public colleges and universities for students with family incomes below $125,000. Under his proposal, the federal government would cover 54% of the cost while individual states cover the rest. …”

At the end of four years of the Blumpf presidency … what was conserved?

Was it White identity? NO! Not a single word was uttered in support of White identity by Donald Trump in four years as president. It was too controversial. He would have been accused of racism!

Was it our Confederate monuments or the Mississippi State Flag? NO! Hundreds of monuments were smashed by violent mobs. They went after the Christopher Columbus monuments too. Meanwhile, the Mississippi State Legislature caved to Walmart and took down the state flag.

Was it our free speech and right to free assembly? NO! Nothing could be done about that problem either because of libertarian nonsense about Big Government. Big Tech CEOs were invited to the White House earlier this year and were hailed by Trump as the Trillion Dollar Club.

Was it Law and Order? NO! In spite of hundreds of tweets, no one ever found Law and Order and the riots only calmed down after the orange lightning rod lost the election.

Was it the concept of two genders? NO! After being appointed to serve on the Supreme Court, Neil Gorsuch found that transgenderism was covered by the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Was it America’s racial demographics? NO! Ultimately, it took COVID-19 and election season to temporarily shut down immigration, but no permanent solution was put in place.

What then was conserved by mainstream conservatism? The billionaire donor who Trump appointed as Secretary of Education conserved the student loan debt burden for four years. So yeah … of all the things that they could have conserved with power, they chose to conserve our bills.

  1. “At the end of four years of the Blumpf presidency … what was conserved?”

Nothing much, as was probably to have been expected—but it’s not an important question. The important question is what has Hunter Wallace done to strengthen his people?

Hunter Wallace keeps looking for a political solution, an electoral solution, to a non-political problem. “Where do we go from here?” he asks, meaning little more than “To which political party do we give our support?”

No—the question is what does a white man do, what unstrengthening behavior does he AVOID, to make others COME TO HIM.

    • @John Bonaccorsi,

You probably already know that it will take a revolutionary leaders and movements to change the course of anti-White pogroms in this country, Canada, Europe, and Oceania. Believing that voting and elections will remove the 2% and their self-hating White shabbos goys is a fever dream.

Tom Metzger was correct when he said, “Nothing changes without blood flowing.” It’s unfortunate but true.

  2. Hunter, you nailed it four years ago:

“Were White working class voters in Michigan voting for Dick and Betsy DeVos when Trump campaigned on his #DrainTheSwamp platform there? These two are kingpins of the the Republican donor class who refused to support Trump until he embraced the ‘opportunity agenda.’ She lives in a 22,000 square foot mansion. These two were huge backers of Marco Rubio in the primary.”

The Vos’s are all about privatization and austerity for the vast majority, and “socialism” (huge gifts at our expense) for the wealthy.

There is no REAL socialism/communism in the U.S. education industry, only identity politics (including anti-White-ism), anti-Christianity, gross immorality, and some FAKE socialism to confuse and immunize against the real thing.

  3. “DeVos is married to former Amway CEO Dick DeVos.[8][9] Her brother, Erik Prince, a former U.S. Navy SEAL officer, is the founder of Blackwater USA.[10] Their father is Edgar Prince, founder of the Prince Corporation.[11][12] In 2016, the family was listed by Forbes as the 88th-richest in America, with an estimated net worth of $5.4 billion.[13]”

I’ll hear no talk against Betsy. She earned her billions the hard way, just like Trump and Ivanka did. They understand little people problems. #MIGA

  4. Trump winning 2016 and then proving to be a bloviating Zionist conman was a blessing in disguise, can you Imagine if Hillary had won? Everyone in the dissident right would still be thinking America and the west could’ve been saved if only they had voted a little bit harder. The people still supporting Trump have now been exposed as the grifters and GOP operatives that they are. All the cards are on the table.

Trump has forced us to accept the harsh reality that nationalists have no political representation and no seat at the table. The system is designed from top to bottom to keep people like us out. Only a revolutionary change could alter this situation.

  5. >>> What then was conserved by mainstream conservatism? The billionaire donor who Trump appointed as Secretary of Education conserved the student loan debt burden for four years. So yeah … of all the things that they could have conserved with power, they chose to conserve our bills.

Republicans were QUICK to bailout Wall Street – in fact, in October of last year, BEFORE Covid-19. They gave trillions of dollars to Wall Street bankers just like they did in 2008. They “forgave their debt.”

But now they are going to lecture young white college students about “fiscal responsibility.”

Just laugh at them and vote against them.

  6. I never trusted Betsy DeVos because her brother is Eric Prince of Blackwater infamy, and she was unqualified. The only thing I expected to get out of her was more funding for charter schools, but she coup even accomplish that simple task, and now the cultural marxist public schools teachers unions are stronger than ever.

  7. Donald Trump ought to be living proof to the political sane among us that it is now impossible-as his presidency has now proved- to enact meaningful change from within the system. Change can only be found from without. It’s time to leave.
