Axios: Thanksgiving Meal Prices Rise To New Record High

You’re welcome, America.

Axios:

“Your Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings is expected to cost 20% more than last year. …

Driving the news: The survey, released Wednesday, found the average cost of this year’s holiday meal for 10 is $64.05 up from the 2021 average of $53.31.

It’s the most expensive dinner in the 37 years of the bureau’s holiday survey. …”

If Manchin and Sinema hadn’t put the brakes on Senate Democrats, we would probably be in a hyperinflation Weimar scenario by now.

  1. “cost 20% more than last year. …”

That is a more realistic inflation number than the BLS’ nonsense 8%.

USZOG is going to inflate its way out of debt by making all of us poorer, ever lower standards of living.

    • Fuckin eh, don’t notice the non accountable banking confederacy-federal money changers printing the money with abandon that’s going to call the debts on the public before the holidays.

      • If Columbus day is offensive to the of colors, than you bet your ass Thanksgiving is of no relevance anymore. This is just trolling.

    • @Arrian…

Yes, the government economic indicators are, no matter who is in, a hilariously concocted soup of falsified numbers and points shaved.

      8%?

      No way.

Just the Iceberg lettuce at me local grocery store has gone from around a dollar last year to near 2 now.

  2. NYpost:
WASHINGTON — More and more big-money bundlers are abandoning former President Donald Trump’s bid to return to the White House in 2024 in favor of rising GOP stars like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Two New York-based billionaires, metal mogul ((Andy Sabin)) and private equity CEO ((Stephen Schwarzman)), have each spoken out against the 76-year-old Trump in recent days.

The jwz didn’t like that quip about “the jwz in America don’t appreciate me”.

    • @Arrian…

Rupert Murdoch, who owns Fox News and The New York Post is heavily behind Desantis, and commissioning polls so in favour of Desantis over Trump that Bill O’Reilly just looked at them, today, laughed, and then refused to read them to us!

  3. Don’t complain. At least the abortions that weren’t going anywhere are safe and Ukraine’s winning, so stfu!

  4. ” . . . USZOG is going to inflate its way out of debt . . . “

At this point, there is no other way. There is no realistic prospect of the country generating enough taxable wealth for the debt to be paid back in anything approaching dollars of constant purchasing power. There would have to be an explosion of economic growth similar to that caused by the invention and application of the steam engine (ca. 1770 – 1870), the oil business, various electrical technologies i.e. telegraph, telephone, light bulb, radio, tv etc. the automobile, airplane and miniaturized, inexpensive digital technology all at the same time. That would be known as a miracle.

Even if there were new technologies rapidly invented that produced even more wealth than the period from 1775 – 1975 the U.S. Government would tax it to death and just explode the debt even more. If a new source of tremendous real wealth were invented it would just delay the inevitable; the collapse of the current monetary regime, ruin of the dollar and widespread deep poverty because of economic destruction all over the world. The regimes in Washington, London, Brussels and other capitals know this so they are going to go balls out with what ever time they have left before the roof caves in. The regime is not reformable, it will just fail spectacularly some day.

  5. OT

But speaking of more expensive Thanksgiving dinners, I think the below was occasioned by Twitter discussions of Schumer’s demand that all illegals receive amnesty:

linkLifelong republican and unashamed conservative over here. I just understand the fever over immigration. Securing the border – absolutely. Having a zero-tolerance policy for illegal’s committing crimes – sign me up. But the “they’re replacing us” stuff – hard pass.

    >illegal’s

LOL — without exaggeration, this is the intellectual quality as well as the political outlook of the average ‘conservative’ and member of the GOP — if you vote for the GOP, this is what you are voting for — as a topper, perhaps if you asked him he’d say he’s ‘pro-white’.

What an utter faggot — the GOP is nothing but geriatrics and civnat faggots.

I’ll take a ‘hard pass’ on the ‘as long as they come legally’ party.

    • >the intellectual quality

Here’s a GOP congresswoman from SC commenting on her support for codifying homosexual marriage:

Twitter/ Rep. Nancy MaceIf gay couples want to be as happily or miserably married as straight couples, more power to them. Trust me, I’ve tried it more than once

    • Among other things in the article, to his credit MacDonald correctly notes that Trump is a stupid, boorish narcissist:

Notice there’s no statement of principle here, but only gratuitous disparagement and basically saying that DeSantis owes him …

    • I’ve been black pilled for as far back as I can remember and don’t remember having much hope about much involving white identity politics in our current era of social media , drugged out wiggers, degenerate sicko faggots and worst of all – tolerance and apathy being the last lethal virtues of the vast majority of our people.

Leftist liberals are not ‘our people’ and the big clash is coming , as we can no longer coexist amongst these traitorous lunatics.

I’m not promoting violence but i , like most sane people I know , no longer wish to live amongst , let alone be ruled over by these deranged people.

  6. Way understated! In the real world, the increase over last year is higher than 20%.

Inflation is also compounding prices year after year, so that even if there were “only” 10% inflation this year, following a 12% annual increase last year it is still more than ever.

The elites’ and upper middle class’s return on their special, tax-avoiding investments tends to remain above the level of this deliberate Inflation that drains the blood of commons.

    • “The elites’ and upper middle class’s ”

Own farms, mines, real estate, that is a beneficiary of inflation.

  7. Wait, a Thanksgiving dinner for 10 only costs $64? What’s everyone friggin’ complaining about??? My on the road Holiday dinner will most likely consist of a cheeseburger, fries and root beer from Denny’s®, IHOP® or Waffle House®.

  8. Revolution is a dialectical process of destruction and creation. In the US revolution is intimately bound to the process of defeating imperialism around the world. Any conception of socialism defined in national terms, within so extreme and predatory an oppressor nation as the US, is a view that leads in practice to a fight for particular privileged interest and is a very dangerous ideology. Any combat against enemies is the only solution for socialist revolution in the oppressor nation.

Socialsim is the total opposite of capitalism/imperialism. It is the rejection of empire and white supremacy. Socialism is the violent overthrow of the bourgeoisie, the establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat, and the eradication of the social system based on profit. Socialism means control of the productive forces for the good of the whole community instead of the few who live on hilltops and mansions. Socialism means priorities based on human need instead of corporate greed. Socialism creates the conditions for a decent and creative quality of life for all.

Billy Ayers, Prairie Fire, 1974, Page 23

    • Helicopter Czar, thanks for a fair, but adequate list of reason’s, why socialism, has no place or future, in the coming Southern Republic Period……..It doesn’t have the properties, or qualities we require…….sounds like you ss well as mister merthyr Rising 1831, could.stsnd a little political/philosophical deprogramming……

  9. But…but…the government told me that inflation was only up 7.7 percent and that it wasn’t as bad as expected!

  10. Food and gas prices are unquestionably much higher than last year.

If it keeps going at this rate, Bozo The Clown could win the presidency in 2024, if he runs GOP.

      • I wonder, Dear Arrian, I really wonder.

After all, just a month ago, or two, I saw The Democrat pundits around the MSNBC round table, when Jen Psaki said pessimistically : “What do we do?; – we cannot say anything to them that could change their minds about what they are going through at the pump or the grocery store cash register.’

After empathizing with her, David Axelrod said, ‘The only thing we have left is to scare the hell out of them about Republicans.’

And that’s certainly what they did in my area – non-stop ads about White Supremacy, Jim Crow, and soon to be no more reproduction rights.

    • Food, gas — and utilities. A “fuel surcharge” that was $7 last November on my monthly electric bill is $17 this month; and that is with a monthly energy usage that is LESS than the same month last year. The bastards have the nerve to send letters with helpful hints on reducing energy usage to lower my electric bill and, in response to consumer complaints, state to news outlets that, “There has not been a rate increase”. “Oh, that fuel surcharge thing? No, no — that’s just temporary.”
How about, I’m not even running the heat this month and freezing and STILL my electric bill is higher!

      • “How about, I’m not even running the heat this month and freezing and STILL my electric bill is higher!”

Live lower, goy! Goy, you can do with less.
Live in a shoebox, eat bugs, wrap in a blanket, drive a gocart.
We need more money for refugees.

  11. We don’t have Thanksgiving but certainly Christmas and Easter, Australia Day, etc.
All they do is serve big business.
All these atheists suddenly become Christians at Christmas time, spending all their money on gifts nobody wants and staying in your home for three weeks, when you likely can’t stand them.
I attend church, but just hate Christmas time.
My wife and I said to our kids:- no presents given or received between anyone anymore unless kids are in the family………..and you can stay a week, not a month. This is MY house.

  12. What gave the Democrats the advantage this election cycle was the price of gasoline was low enough not to infuriate people. Voters are extremely sensitive to the price of gasoline and will thrash incumbents at the polls if the price is perceived as being too high. Dementia Joe’s handlers did everything they could to keep gasoline prices down before the elections and that strategy helped Democrats at the polls.

It is $3.60 – $3.80/gallon where I am now, it was $5 – $6/gallon in California earlier this year and is about $5.50/gallon in the L.A. area now. High prices in California may have helped Republicans pick up a few seats but LA, SF and most of the state are hopeless for Republicans at that price. If there were a severe, prolonged shortage of gasoline with a price spike to $10 – $15/gallon that would probably get some people to vote Republican, for whatever that is worth.

People are acclimated to gasoline at $3.50 – $3.80/gallon and arguments that Dementia Joe caused high prices just don’t resonate with most voters at that price level. If the average price were to climb to $6 – $7/gallon that would infuriate voters but it’s too late now anyway. Voters just aren’t as sensitive to other price increases as they are to the price of gasoline. That’s why Dementia Joe’s handlers did all they could to keep gasoline prices from climbing before the election.

    • “What gave the Democrats the advantage this election cycle ”

……big jw contributors, soros, bankman et al, giving 10s of millions to ‘get out the vote’ (bribe the blacks).

      • ” . . . giving 10s of millions to ‘get out the vote’ (bribe the blacks).”

Otherwise known as “Walking around Money”.

  13. hyperinflation Weimar scenario

The centennial anniversary of that, the worst of it, is now upon us.

And now, the official inflation rate in Germany is in double digits for the first time in a very long time. Making me think I should invest in a good sturdy wheelbarrow.

In all seriousness, during the 1922-1924 hyperinflation, the Mark became so obviously useless that various larger corporations issued corporate scrip to serve as a reliable medium of exchange. Not way too dissimilar from today’s rise of cryptocurrency. My father-in-law has two framed and preserved examples of such scrip hanging on his work office wall.

    • Hell, ppl were stealing the lead off of rooves and the brass fittings off rail coaches, just to get something of value.
Inflation was worse in Austria, ppl were wearing paper clothes, couldn’t afford cloth.

    • Ppl were using compressed coal bricks to pay for movie tickets.

That’s what happens when precious metal is taken out of currency, like America.

    • The “German” Green Party is the worst, pushing the hardest for nuclear war, leading the blind German people off the cliff to oblivion.

  14. Hey Brad,

This totally off topic(kinda) but maybe some of your readers might be interested in watching this short documentary on the FTX collapse. You don’t have to publish this. It’s your call.

    • “short documentary”

      Only touches a few points.
The very initial trigger was insiders learning that the DEA had proof of money laundering of drug proceeds through FTX..

Ukraine ( Zelensky ) sending money via FTX to buyoff USZOG congressmen, 2.5 million to mitch McConnell.

Why does congress vote more funds for Ukraine? Zelensky pays, handsomely.

    • Jews have been behind every massive financial scandal in this nation’s modern history. I’m sure it’s just some weird cohencidence.

      • It’s always been true, back to the time of Moses, when he commanded the jwz to ‘borrow’ all the silver and gold of the Egyptians. Always the same behavior, it’s genetic.
