AI’s Sputnik Moment

It has been a week where decades happen.

I’ve been on the road traveling to and back from Memphis.

Last week, it was made crystal clear that AI would be a major focus of the incoming Trump administration. Indian Bronson had a great take about it on X. America last week was like a massively depressed person snapping out of it, getting out of bed and starting to clean their room.

Trump signed an executive order to make America the world leader in AI. He did a press conference with Sam Altman and Larry Ellison about the Stargate announcement. China RESPONDED over the weekend by releasing DeepSeek AI which has quickly become the top download in app stores. Tech stocks are crashing this morning because China has proven it is ahead of the U.S. in AI.

This seems to be the beginning of the AI Race with China like the Space Race with the USSR in the 1950s. Silicon Valley has fallen behind China in AI because it has spent the last decade replacing Americans with Indian H-1Bs and focusing on woke nonsense, censorship and deplatforming.

Suddenly, the tech bros are American patriots, and are wrapping themselves in the flag and running to MAGA and the government to save them from competition.

  3. Markets are plenty spooked, but I can’t help but we’re in the middle of a Beijing psyop to make MktCap disappear. The official claims about DeepSeek, seem way too good to be true.

    Even if this is the LLM equivalent of Temu, for the (fairly limited) utility that LLMs have so far it just needs to be good enough. It might not be as big a disaster for the US industry as it could have been since the boondoggle of sunk costs in data centers has not been realized yet.

  5. Trump and Vance are captured by Silicon valley. All of them including Trump spilled the beans weeks ago through the H1B debacle. I am sure Trump will give the (((Altman))) shysters whatever they want and do some more Orange saber rattling against the Chinese.

    Deporting 500 illegals per day is fine but it is a drop in the bucket, and meanwhile they want the legal spigot opened even wider. Slimeball Vivek was the sacrificial lamb. Vivek’s dismissal is proof they all are sincere about legal immigration. “Illegal” immigration is a convenient scapegoat. It means they can cuck hard on “legal” immigration. That is what Republicans do. Democrats just call you a nazi.

    I hope the Chinese keep marching forward. Our lives will never be improved through internal reform.

      True. There are at least 42,500,000 permanently domiciled illegal aliens inside the US, and another 12-15,000,000 of their anchor babies. Getting rid of just the foreign born illegal aliens will probably take 8-10 years. It could be done sooner, I just don’t think we could mobilize the forces necessary to do it fast enough.

      At ten years, it would mean apprehending roughly 11,000 illegals a day to get rid of all foreign born illegals in 10 years. At the current rate of roughly 500 per day, it would take 231 years to complete the removal. Although a substantial portion would self deport if unable to get a job and government support, and we made it clear we would not tolerate illegal colonists anymore, we clearly need to have a large scale national mobilization of federal and state assets.

      I’ve advanced recommendations that include appointing some 15,000 Marshals with authority to recruit 12 deputies, which is about 180,000 Marshals. Throw in existing Marshals and their expansion thru deputization and we could have over 200,000 Marshals readied who would be drawn from current and former law enforcement, veterans, bounty hunters, etc. Place them in control of 3-5 man teams of military personnel from the Reserves, National Guard, and Regular Armed Forces, and we could have 600,000 men readied to conduct this removal of the foreign colonists.

      The above is the scale of what is needed. Obviously, mobilizing such a force would take time. Meanwhile, hitting centers of criminal illegal aliens builds momentum, public support, and creates the cadre and operational tactics necessary to expand into larger scale operations. We don’t know if this or something similar is or isn’t the plan, but for now, it makes sense to start as they are doing. However if we don’t see ever expanding operations in the coming weeks and certainly after 3 months then, yeah, it doesn’t bode well.

        Yes it can be done. We’re barely a week into the administration so it’s too early to tell if this is a serious attempt or another dog-and-pony show for the idiocracy. Let’s see them arrest the clown who’s CEO of Tyson and some of the major shareholders. Getting to self-deport is the most cost-effective method. That way the brute force can be applied against the cartels and others who have no intention of leaving.

  6. Sputnik moment? Sputnik never interfaced with any American nor did its rudimentary signals capabilities penetrate the grid of the United States. DeepSix (Deepseek) does have this capability. It is essentially the electronic version of the China Virus. You don’t build something for $6,000,000 to give away for free unless you are the Greeks at Troy. We have no civilian defenses against this thanks to two generations of Globalist Clintons, Bushes, Obamas, McConnells, etc. What we need is a tarrif and duty on all incoming electronic traffic to inhibit such future events and make it cost prohibitive. Meanwhile, we don’t have these powers, and while there is authority to do it, there is no actual civilian agency with the capability to do it. 

    Not even the FCC has the ability to shut this thing down. All we got is the DoD and groups like the NSA. Trump should immediately halt all DeepSix downloads and chase after all downloaded Apps using the DoS and NSA under the emergency powers act. Because, there is such a huge risk this DeepSix could turn into a kind of COVID epidemic for the electronic cyber internet software economy and deep six the US economy and military-industrial force posture, assets should be directed to bloc, hunt down, and destroy it, before it DeepSixes all of us.

    Imagine, there are people in the USA who literally have no problem downloading for free directly onto their smart-phone, tablet, computer, or computer assistant, a Super-AI App which was created by the Chinese Communist Party-People’s Liberation Army. This is an AI that can take control of Siri, Lexa, the internet of things, and various other IT systems. DeepSix is AI that has all personal, health, educational, and wealth data about almsot every American (yes the Chinese have that, including your fingerprints). But there are scores of millions of Americans who have no problem giving more power over rather lives to the Chinese.

    For example, they know exactly where Hunter Wallace lives, they likely have his medical records and those of his children and wife. They probably have collected every paper he has ever written in College, and every comment or article he has published since then. They know his personal network from the CoCC to the LoS, to the **redacted**. Hell they even know what bait he uses to fish. Now if Hunter downloads the CCP-PLA DeepSix AI onto his phone, they can influence and even control him as necessary. In the future the DeepSixed Hunter Wallace, then known as, “Borg 3 of 1,450,000,000,000,” might write articles and we won’t even know its not him writing them, but a Lt. Chang of Unit 61398 at Ludington, Shanghai, China.  

    This could and should be stopped immediately. The DoD and NSA should immediately halt all electronic traffic out of China or related to China, especially this DeepSix personal Commie AI monitor program. It should also place tarrifs and duties on all such traffic, so that in the future, there can be no free downloads of apps from Pajeets or Changs or whoever. Let the new External Revenue Service have a internet revenue division to collect tariffs, duties, fees, etc on all electronic traffic entering the US. There should also be some sort of agency that quarantines and analyzing all such traffic, software, and apps before distributing to the National network. In return, the US should provide tax write offs and subsidies for US companies to train US made in America workforce.   9. Whether we like it or not, AI is going to be a major disruption of alot of the ways things are currently done.

    Jury is out on how much and how fast thats going to happen.

    It is no coincidence that Trump has asserted significant influence over the development of AI, and this is because the Biden administration was already doing this in a multitude of obviously detrimental ways which weren’t at all in our interests. This was a huge component of the Tech Bro support being thrown behind his campaign.

    Whether you like it or not, our elected government is going to be involved in AI, and we are now in the position to guide this in a direction that benefits our country. Nobody had any confidence that it would have been under Kamala. Yet another reason nobody White should have advocated voting for her.

    Is this a perfect situation? Nobody knows, because we are in uncharted territory. What I do know is we are infinitely better off than we would have been if the Anti White establishment regime was given control over it.

    That the dissident right was advocating against Trump on this is another glaring example of overt ethnic subversion by this fringe. I question the motives of these people and I think they cannot be trusted. I see no reason to give them any benefit of the doubt. Their credibility is shot.

          • AGB’s post above laid out a decent strategy for deporting lots of them. Several here (including me) have noted before that if those nominally in charge were serious about the issue, they would go after those who hire and profit from the invasion – a far smaller number of criminals to arrest and imprison. Aiding and abetting a foreign invasion, which is exactly what has taken place, is an act of treason.

            The white American scumbag who is CEO of Tyson Foods, Donnie King, was given the “White Traitor of the Year” award by OD’s Jaye Ryan. It’s well-earned. Tyson employs all kinds of illegal aliens and “refugees” like the Haitians and others resettled by the NGO’s who likewise profit off of importing them. So if Trump cleans out the Justice Department’s Augean Stables filled to the roof with Church of Woke shitlibs, they could arrest King and the entire board of Tyson on charges of treason and sieze control of the company in the name of national security. All foreigners found on their sites would be fired, arrested and deported. That would send a shock-wave through the whole network of scum making money off the invasion and their clients. You’d see many self-deportations. As far as I can tell, Donnie is an actual American who has elected to betray his country for 12 million pieces of fake-silver.

            Some of what HW and other have noted about a certain element of so-called White Nationalists do indeed focus exclusively on Jewish crimes which are definitely a problem but only part of the equation here. People like Donnie King are an even greater part of the problem than the Kosher Nosetra is. The KN could not have accomplished all of this destruction without lots of Donnie Kings willing to sell out their own.

        • Altmann and Ellison, and their actions have far more to do with the destruction of White jobs than AI, which is just one of their (and Wall Street’s) latest rackets. Why should Chinese care about Whites in America – who have utterly failed to defend their own interests in any way? Trump is working here with the very same gang who basically gang-raped him last time around. Assuming he is serious about jobs for Whites – a very dubious assumption given his track record – he would be better off having Marc Andreessen than those two criminals.

          Trump has a great deal on his plate, so maybe this isn’t his top priority. The economy you speak of is a fake-and-gay racket created by people like Altman and Ellison – whose hated of whites far exceeds that of any Chinese. As for being born here – being born in a garage doesn’t mean you’re an automobile. As I noted above, they are both part of a hostile foreign ruling class who have proven over and over that they desire the extermination of whites.
