SecDef Pete Hegseth Sort of Brings Back Fort Bragg

This is a failed attempt to pander to us.

It is “Fort Roland L. Bragg” who was a World War II veteran. Undoubtedly, some idiot in Con, Inc. thought this was a brilliant idea, and Hegseth is predictably getting roasted for it on X.

Note: He promises there will be “more to come.” I want Fort Benning and Fort Rucker back.

    • I would suggest a 50 megaton Tsar Bomba class nuke (even more powerful if possible).

      That would put/keep the skeer on ’em for sure.

  4. The law prevents him from changing the name back to Gen Braxton Bragg. That law was passed during Trump’s last term, Trump vetoed it, and the Republicans and Demoncrats overrode his veto, so not Trump’s fault. It is not the victory we desire, but it will irritate the right people. Most folks have no idea who a military post is named after. That Gen Petraeus wrote an op-ed criticizing the name of Fort Jackson, because it was named after Gen Stonewall Jackson. But it wasn’t, it was named after Pres Andrew Jackson. That is why that name was not changed.

  6. Is this serious? This isn’t even funny. Its such an open con job, they are almost laughing at our faces. No disrespect toward Roland Bragg, but he did less than my grandfather who led bayonet charges against the Japanese in close quarter fighting in Baatan and helped lead resistance for years in the Phillipines before finally being captured. Is Roland the only Bragg they could find to pull this two bit con job?

    This smells of something rotten on the staff of Hegseth. There has long been a clique of anti-Southern bigots who regularly shiite on the Confederacy inside a certain circle of the military that regularly sets around the Office of the Secretary of Defense. They are a combination of civilian and military staffers, mostly Papists with a few Jews, who are centered around the War College, ((Georgetown University)), ((Boston University)) (Fuentes alma mater), and a ((***redacted institute***)).

    Its this group who was responsible for the anti-Confederate Kulturkampf across the country. It started with the removal of a couple of pictures of Confederate Generals (Lee and Jackson as I recall) at the War College nearly 20 years go by one of their senior members after he got top job at the college. Its proceeded apace since then. They are well versed in espionage, counter espionage, propoganda, covert affairs, and roughly gravitate around a political ideology between rightwing Trotskyism and Catholic Reactionarism.

    This group of fiends has been in and out of government service going back to the Reagan years. I’ve personally met them, worked with them, and know exactly their skills and the depths of their anti-Southern hostility, general duplicity, and outright betrayal. I suspect this con job was most likely directed by them and was meant to embarrass the Trump Administration and forestall the reversal of their kulturekampf. All of them need to be removed from the DC power structure and their vandalizing of American military history reversed.

    Fort Roland S Bragg needs to be replaced to its original Fort Braxton Bragg. I understand that changing the name cannot be done unilaterally by Executive Order outside of the scope of names listed in the National Defense Authorization Act of 2021 without another Congressional authorization. Roland Bragg was one of those names which is why SecDef got to change it under POTUS authority.

    Still, this is not a good look. Its a cheap truck. Trump just needs to lusb forward a military bill with the renaming in it and force a showdown with Congress. This is where the Southern identity movement must make its play and hold the Southern GOP accountable for its votes. We’ll be damned to have the GOP tell us our hundreds of thousands of valiently dead ancestors are unworthy of having military bases named after them.
