Axios: Trump Allies Unleash First Ad Against Thomas Massie

The last month has been a total disaster for Donald Trump.

In 2024, I was overly dismissive of the notion that Trump could drag us into a war with Iran. I did not believe that Bibi Netanyahu and Miriam Adelson controlled Trump.

In my view, Jewish power was in decline. Trump had X to get his message out. He had proven in the primary by crushing Ron DeSantis that he did not need the Murdoch Press. He had a personal beef with Netanyahu stemming from the 2020 election. Most importantly, he had Elon Musk’s vast fortune on his side, won the 2024 election with the support of younger male voters who are skeptical of Israel and he wasn’t running again and was promising peace and could focus on his legacy. Support for Israel was declining on the Left and Right and MIGA Boomers were shrinking in the electorate.

For the record, I still believe these trends are rapidly eroding Jewish power in the United States, but I now realize that what I believed was happening was a bit premature. Bibi Netanyahu and the Israel Lobby see the same political forces and that convinced them that they had to strike Iran now. By going after Massie, Trump is also relapsing into the thin skinned cartoon character he was in his first term when he purged Jeff Sessions from the Republican Party while endorsing people like Mitt Romney.

Axios:

“A pro-Trump super PAC is out with its first TV ad against Rep. Thomas Massie, the Kentucky Republican targeted for defeat by the president, Axios has learned.

Why it matters: President Trump’s powerful political operation is showing that it’s willing to unload part of its massive $500 million war chest to unseat Massie, who the White House views as its chief Republican detractor in the House. …

Zoom in: The spot concludes by saying that Massie, an anti-interventionist who was critical of Trump’s decision to strike Iran, “sided” with with the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. …”

Daily Caller:

“The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is looking to oust Republican Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie in the upcoming 2026 midterm election.

AIPAC has been actively recruiting candidates to run in a primary against Massie, a source familiar told the Daily Caller.

“I’m aware that foreign lobbyists have conducted a push poll and are trying to recruit another candidate to run against me, due to my opposition to foreign aid and forever wars,” Massie said in a statement sent to the Caller. …”

I still believe we should remain politically engaged.

We should not sperg out, blackpill and collapse into despair. Time is on our side.

Thomas Massie is a principled libertarian like Ron Paul. I basically feel the same way about him that I do all libertarians. He is maddening on immigration and some cultural issues, but great on non-intervention in stupid wars for Israel in the Middle East, the national debt, civil liberties and other issues. He was right on COVID era inflationary spending and the fact that he is the only Republican congressman without an AIPAC handler and leash matters far more to me than his record on immigration.

Trump and MIGA are ganging up with AIPAC to purge Massie from Congress. I will be donating to Massie’s reelection campaign. I also plan on donate to Lindsey Graham’s opponent in South Carolina and doing whatever I can in the 2026 midterms to purge people like Graham from Congress.

Note: If you are critical of Jewish power and are tired of seeing Trump and the Republican Congress being dog walked by Israel, then you should lean into this and donate to Massie for standing up to AIPAC. Go out and vote against Lindsey Graham if you live in South Carolina.

  1. Thomas Massie is better than Ron Paul and Rand Paul on immigration.

He correctly recognizes Trump’s 2016 and 2024 wins as a mandate for immigration control. Sometimes he even criticizes Trump on immigration from the right – for instance, he criticized Trump when Trump promised to “staple a green card to every diploma”.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is the best person in congress right now. She has a great NumbersUSA score, and she is the only Republican other than Massie who is criticizing the Israel Lobby’s control of US foreign policy. There is a real danger that AIPAC will target her in 2026 just like they targeted Bob Good last year. If you don’t feel comfortable giving to Massie because he isn’t strong enough on immigration or the culture war issues, then give to Greene instead.

Even a small donation to Greene or Massie is meaningful. Its not about the money – its about sending a message.

  2. Massie is frustrating, but better than most of the worthless puppets in Congress.

I’m rapidly getting sick of Trump. My only hope at this point is that Iran doesn’t lose its cool and give Trump an excuse to go all-in on a war. There’s still time to progress the domestic agenda before midterms potentially neuter his administration.
