I’m not a bleeding heart liberal humanitarian.
I believe what happens in America is more important than the Middle East.
As I have explained, I have never been “pro-Israel.” I dislike Israel and its influence over our government and I had to overcome the stench of a lot of things that I disagreed with to vote for Trump in 2024. The vast majority of that is about Bibi Netanyahu and Israel. The biggest reservation that everyone had about Trump on either side of the debate was that he would go to war with Iran for Israel.
Anyway, this is who Trump says that America should “save” from his corruption trial. This is the leader of a government that uses thirst and starvation as a weapon and which shoots down and kills thousands of starving, unarmed women and children in rags begging for food at distribution sites.
“A month after the launch of a new Israeli-backed aid system for Gaza, reaching the heavily guarded distribution hubs has become a life-risking endeavor for Palestinians, hampering efforts to get enough food to a hungry population.
Deadly violence has erupted frequently around the approaches to the aid sites, most of them in southern Gaza. The Gaza health ministry said on Wednesday that hundreds have been killed over the past month near the distribution points, which are run by American security contractors and guarded by Israeli troops stationed nearby.
In a separate aid effort that has also become engulfed in chaos, the United Nations and other international organizations have been delivering a trickle of food handouts to northern Gaza. Desperate crowds have been ransacking the trucks carrying flour and other goods minutes after they enter the enclave, according to witnesses.
Jens Laerke, a spokesman for the U.N. agency for coordination of humanitarian affairs, described the new aid distribution hubs as “death traps” for Gazans.
“Gaza is the hungriest place on earth,” he said on Wednesday. “When we are able to bring anything in, it’s getting plundered immediately by the population. That’s the level of desperation.” …”
This is what the Israeli media, not online antisemites, says the Netanyahu government has done in Gaza. It has probably killed over 100,000 people there over the past two years.
“On Monday of this week, Hamas’ Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip published an updated list of those killed in the war, a 1,227-page chart, arranged from youngest to oldest. The Arabic-language document includes the deceased person’s full name, the names of the father and grandfather, date of birth and ID number.
Unlike previous lists, this compilation notes the precise age of children who were under the age of one year when they were killed. Mahmoud al-Maranakh and seven more children died on the same day they were born. Four more children were killed on the day after they entered the world, five others lived to the age of two days. Not until page 11, following 486 names, does the name appear of the first child who was more than six months old when he was killed.
The names of the children under the age of 18 cover 381 pages and amount to 17,121 children, all told. Of the total of 55,202 dead people, 9,126 were women. …”
Our Greatest Ally kills people just for sport at food distribution centers.
“Israeli soldiers in Gaza told Haaretz that the army has deliberately fired at Palestinians near aid distribution sites over the past month.
Conversations with officers and soldiers reveal that commanders ordered troops to shoot at crowds to drive them away or disperse them, even though it was clear they posed no threat. …
“It’s a killing field,” one soldier said. “Where I was stationed, between one and five people were killed every day. They’re treated like a hostile force – no crowd-control measures, no tear gas – just live fire with everything imaginable: heavy machine guns, grenade launchers, mortars. Then, once the center opens, the shooting stops, and they know they can approach. Our form of communication is gunfire.”
The soldier added, “We open fire early in the morning if someone tries to get in line from a few hundred meters away, and sometimes we just charge at them from close range. But there’s no danger to the forces.” According to him, “I’m not aware of a single instance of return fire. There’s no enemy, no weapons.” He also said the activity in his area of service is referred to as Operation Salted Fish – the name of the Israeli version of the children’s game “Red light, green light”. …”
“Gaza is becoming a graveyard for children,” said UN Secretary-General António Guterres as early as November 6, 2023. His statement was harshly criticized by Israel and dismissed as exaggerated by much of the Israeli public and media. In the 21 months since, the number of casualties in Gaza has largely remained on the margins of Israeli media coverage, including the children killed in the war.
In the weeks before the outbreak of war between Israel and Iran, Israel’s media had begun to briefly mention these figures, influenced in part by growing global media attention, which has made the issue harder to ignore. But the Iran war pushed any deeper engagement with the deaths in Gaza far to the margins, worldwide and in Israel.
According to the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry, 17,121 children were killed in Gaza from the start of the war through to June 15. Of these, 937 were infants under the age of 1. Another 4,517 were between the ages of 1 and 5, 6,325 were aged 6 to 12, and the rest – 5,342 – were minors aged between 13 and 17.
This death toll is almost without precedent, particularly given the population size and the war’s duration. …”
I don’t know.
Maybe the world would be better off if Netanyahu went down for being a war criminal?
New York City is the most Jewish city in America and the world. Even the Jews there agree he has to go. It is not antisemitic to believe that Netanyahu is a genocidal monster.
