My big takeaway from the Trump-Putin summit in Alaska is that it was a reminder to myself not to get too blackpilled about events in the Middle East like limited air strikes.
“President Trump and President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia reached no agreement to end the war in Ukraine at a high-profile summit meeting on Friday, although they reported making unspecified progress during a strikingly convivial reunion on American soil.
While Mr. Trump had hoped to seal a deal for an immediate cease-fire, he acknowledged that the two leaders fell short, at least for now. “We haven’t quite got there, but we’ve made some headway,” he told reporters after hours of meetings on a U.S. military base in Alaska. “There’s no deal until there’s a deal.”
But if the substance remained unsettled, the atmospherics were extraordinary. The president rolled out a literal red carpet and even applauded as he welcomed Mr. Putin, who is under U.S. sanctions and faces an international arrest warrant for war crimes. The two laughed and spoke warmly with each other, and Mr. Trump even invited Mr. Putin to ride with him in the armored presidential limousine to their meeting. …”
As Putin said at the summit, the war in Ukraine would have never happened if Trump had won the 2020 election on his “Keep America Great” platform. Millions of people would still be alive today because the crisis would have been defused had it not been for the Biden presidency.
If Joe Biden had lost the 2020 election, the American Rescue Plan would have never passed Congress. Inflation wouldn’t have spiked to the worst level in a generation. The war in Ukraine would not have aggravated inflation. We wouldn’t have gotten the ten million illegal aliens who crossed the border under Joe Biden either. After temporary setbacks at the district court level, the Supreme Court would have eventually upheld Trump’s first term immigration policies which have stopped the influx.
Looking back on it, I was angry about the Syria strike in 2017, the failure to withdraw troops from Syria, Trump’s failure to withdraw troops from Afghanistan, the Soleimani strike, all the obsequious MIGA policy victories of the first term like moving the embassy to Jerusalem and recognizing the Golan Heights as part of Israel. In retrospect, this was dwarfed by the disaster in Ukraine under Joe Biden.
Also, if Trump had won the 2020 election and served out a mediocre second term that brought the border under control without changing much else, then we would have moved on in 2025. Budget reconciliation would have been used to extend the Trump tax cuts. We would have probably gotten some wall money in 2021. Most of what is happening today would have been in place years ago.
I wasn’t expecting much from this summit.
I still find it interesting and thought provoking that Putin said that though.

What is your reasoning that Putin wouldn’t have invaded, Wallace – just because Putin said that he wouldn’t have? As if Putin would have put a halt to his territorial ambitions because Donny Boy was in office. Putin certainly knows how to play to Donny’s ego, that’s for sure. Trump is certainly out of his league when it comes to international diplomacy. The Russian delegation must have been laughing their asses off all the way back to Moscow.
Pytia is simply playing for time and flattering Putin because he knows this works. Talk is cheap and we can never know how things would have turned out if Trump was a president in February, 2022.
Even if there was no agreement, just the fact that they met in person and had a civil conversation is a positive development which makes WW3 less likely to occur.
Maybe Putin is right. Maybe the Ukraine war wouldn’t of happened if Trump won the 2020 election.
However, the October 7th attack would have happened no matter who was president, and Israel would have responded with genocidal rage no matter who was president, and the US government would have given Israel unconditional unlimited support no matter who was president.
That being the case, I’m glad Biden won the 2020 election. The fact that a Democratic administration, supported by a Democratic senate, gave unconditional unlimited support to Israel’s war crimes opened many eyes to the true nature of the system.
If Trump had been president on October 7 2023, and if Republican Christian Zionists had filled the most crucial positions in the federal government (Chief of Staff, Secretary of State, Attorney General, Secretary of Treasury, Secretary of Homeland Security, Senate Majority Leader), then a false narrative would have sprung up, casting all the blame for America’s foreign policy onto the shoulders of Christian Zionists.

But in fact, liberal Zionist Jews held all the important positions of power from October 7 2023 to January 2025, the period of time when Israel committed the worst atrocities.

Putin just told that egomaniac Trump exactly what Trump wanted to hear: Trump would never have started the war, the 2020 election was stolen, Trump this, Trump that. If Trump was committed to ending the war, Trump would have done it at this summit. Not only is the war not over, there is neither a cease-fire. You know, like the much trumpeted Gaza cease-fire from a few months ago that was completely meaningless? The idea that Trump is some angel descending from heaven to show us the way is….what are you smoking, dude?
Putin invaded Ukraine not specifically because of Biden but because of years and years of incremental US foreign policy aggression going back to 9/11 and the collapse of the USSR, which was engineered by Republicans and Israel. Putin misread the withdrawal from Afghanistan under Biden as a sign that America couldn’t do anything anymore, and took the bait. American certainly is stymied but like a wounded animal it is still dangerous when cornered.
