H-1B fee of $100,000 is not a one time fee. It is $100,000 per year, every year. H-1B is dead. They might as well end it formally. pic.twitter.com/MOR9Yov0UV

Flights from India to the US have surged to $4500 USD because of all the people on "vacation" coming back
— Brotherhood (@DiggingInTheDi1) September 20, 2025
Except they're not on vacation, they've been illegally working out of India once they secured their H-1B
You have to understand how utterly corrupt these people are pic.twitter.com/Kb6ZkhqUeV
4chan is reserving flight tickets from India to the US in the checkout stage so no H1B can use them to get to the US before the deadline. pic.twitter.com/YFeS6Ou0bO

It will suffice to say that Trump has had it with India.
This comes after Trump imposed a 50% tariff on Indian goods.
“SAN FRANCISCO/WASHINGTON, Sept 19 (Reuters) – The Trump administration said on Friday it would ask companies to pay $100,000 per year for H-1B worker visas, prompting some big tech companies to warn visa holders to stay in the U.S. or quickly return.
The change could deal a big blow to the technology sector that relies heavily on skilled workers from India and China.
Since taking office in January, Trump has kicked off a wide-ranging immigration crackdown, including moves to limit some forms of legal immigration. The step to reshape the H-1B visa program represents his administration’s most high-profile effort yet to rework temporary employment visas. …”
As with everything Trump has done, this will be predictably challenged in court though. Once again, it will show that the problem is less with Trump than the courts and Congress.
