The Political Cesspool: Activists and Antifa

I appeared on The Political Cesspool last night.

We discussed Donald Trump’s Domestic War on Terror and the response of activists to the criminalization of Antifa as domestic terrorists. I clarified that I was responding to “NS” activists.

As I explained, I have been tracking the radicalization of conservatives since February 2021. In fact, nearly all my appearances on The Political Cesspool over the past five years have been about commenting on new milestones in this long term trend. It was noteworthy when the term anti-White gained traction in 2021 and the Great Replacement went mainstream in 2022. By 2024, mainstream conservatives like Charlie Kirk were saying the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was a mistake and that there was a War on White People in the West. Earlier this year, we discussed the fallout from the murder of Austin Metcalf and Shiloh Hendrix raising around $750,000 for dropping an n-bomb in a viral video in a public park. Kirk’s final tweet before he was assassinated was about the need to politicize the death of Iryna Zartuska.

By declaring Antifa a domestic terrorist organization, Trump has led his followers past yet another key milestone. We have now reached the point where the entire Right sees Antifa as their domestic enemy. Unlike in 2020, the Right also now has the will power to go after and crush Antifa. There is now a complete 1:1 identification of our oldest sworn enemy with who the Right sees as their enemy. Imagine being able to travel back in time to 2005 and tell people who were posting on Stormfront, VNN Forum and The Phora that one day the President, Vice President, Attorney General, FBI Director and the Secretary of Defense (now War) would mobilize troops to use “full force” to crush Antifa and that “NS” activists on the internet would be simping for Antifa and weirdly decrying this development as a bad thing.

It is not just mainstream conservatives who have changed over the last five years though. Activists have also changed. Many of the Alt-Right activists who fought with Antifa in the streets now either sympathize with them or have joined them like Evan McLaren of NPI. When pro-White rhetoric started becoming fashionable among conservatives around 2022/2023, some “NS” activists responded by embracing anti-White rhetoric like whiteoids, creekshitters, hicks, rubes, etc. Lots of people who used to be prominently associated with the Alt-Right like Richard Spencer and Richard Hanania voted for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. They spend all of their time making absurd appeals to the Left which fall on deaf ears.

Looking back on it, some activists who were in the far right had no real ideological objection to mainstream conservatism, as it used to be defined in the pre-Trump era. They were just temperamental contrarians, antisocial misfits, edgelords striking a pose, weirdos, gadflys, cranks who are culturally alienated from Christians or otherwise misaligned with both the Right and the Left. This explains why they have done a truly stunning back flip on Antifa who were our sworn enemy for over 30 years before Trump ran for president. They decried Trump in 2020 for failing to crackdown on the George Floyd riots. They are decrying Trump in 2025 for using the full force of the government to crush Antifa.

Over the next few years, mainstream conservatives will continue their radicalization arc and will embrace talking points and positions formerly held by Alt-Right and “NS” activists a decade or two ago. In order to maintain their fringe orbit of conservatism, activists will react by discarding all of their old positions, defining themselves against whatever shape conservatism takes, embracing neoliberalism or the Left and by supporting whoever the Democratic nominee for president is in 2028. They are psychologically committed to histrionics, losing at politics and being some kind of “alternative.” The posture, not the content, of being some kind of alternative is what matters to them. If Donald Trump said he was creating a White ethnostate in Wisconsin, shipping all non-Whites out of the state and ending support for Israel, they would oppose that too out of contrarianism and sheer commitment to losing.

I use “NS” in air quotes because American Neo-Nazism has nothing to do with historic National Socialism. Nothing that I have written about the subject should be construed as commentary on Adolf Hitler and Germany in the World War II era. “NS” is not an organization or political movement. It is an apolitical or anti-political fandom. No one who is “NS” even bothers to try to engage in political activity. Rather, “NS” activists try to convince people NOT to engage in politics. It is about being depressed, alienated, cranky and just unpleasant to be around. It is about waiting for “The Collapse” of “The System.” It is a psychology or a temperament, not an ideological position. It naturally repulses most Americans.

Anyway, I just can’t help but notice the delicious contrast between the criminalization of Antifa as domestic terrorists, and the “NS” activists insistence that it it better to, say, vote for Kamala Harris because there is “no difference” between the two sides. We are only nine months into Trump’s second term and it has gotten to the point where “antifascism” has been defined as terrorism. Even a goal as unlikely as that has been successfully mainstreamed and pushed into policy in the span of ten years.

Note: As usual, everyone else in American EXCEPT “NS” activists can see how the ground has shifted.

  1. I should have posted earlier before your article came out about my suspicion about this development. Essentially, as the force of the government now in the hands of the right goes against the left, expect many of the FedNazis who comment here and elsewhere to skin suit change and disappear as they become FedCommies on Antifa Reddit boards.

Consequently, we will likely see a drop in their b.s. postings here at OD. Some however will attempt to do both as they struggle to juggle being a FedCommi at Reddit and a FedNazi at OD. But again, with time constraints expect a drop in their comments. This is the good news.

However, you will also get former FedNazis now FedCommies working with groups like Antifa and coordinating with stay behinds in the Right to create terroristic strikes of tension justifying mainstream crackdown of society. Think of Italy during the Days of Lead, P2, the Red Brigades, and Andreotti. Be careful Hunter, keep eyes on the back of your head m8.

    • I think some of the most delusional activists will go out and try to defend Antifa in the streets because they will convince themselves they are taking a stand against Z.O.G. They have already tried to create an “anti-Zionist” alliance with Muslims.

  2. I’ve been all over the White side of politics for decades from the far end to the light end. Having said that I can’t disagree with your critique, maybe the only exception to it would be the NS in Australia but American NS nine hour podcasters even have problems with them. Sympathy for antifa, under no circumstances, they are anti-White and seek our death what exactly would be the unifying part of that position.
