What did I get right? What did I get wrong?
1. Clarence Thomas Retires From The Supreme Court
Clarence Thomas did not retire from the Supreme Court.
I predicted that he would step down before the 2026 midterms. I still think this will eventually happen because there is too much at stake. He wasn’t in any rush to do it this year.
2. Democrats Fall In Love With The Filibuster
This was an easy one.
Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema were hounded out of the Democratic Party for refusing to end the filibuster to pass Biden’s agenda. Democrats love the filibuster now though with Trump being president and Republicans controlling Congress. Nothing much happened in 2025 except the Big Beautiful Bill which passed through budget reconciliation and the Laken Riley Act when Trump was still at his peak.
3. Trump’s Cabinet Nominees Are Approved
Trump got his cabinet.
Hegseth, Gabbard and RFK Jr. were all confirmed by the Senate.
4. Tax Cuts Extended
The GOP exists to cut taxes and the Trump tax cuts were extended in the Big Beautiful Bill with other small ball provisions like $1,000 Trump accounts for newborns.
5. Congressional Bottlenecks
The Republican Congress passed the Big Beautiful Bill during the summer, congratulated itself and took the rest of the year off. Independent voters expected something bigger would happen.
6. Border Security Bill / Build The Wall
As I expected, Trump got his tax cuts / border security package in the Big Beautiful Bill. Nothing of significance ever passes Congress unless it moves through budget reconciliation.
7. “Trans Rights” Takes a L at the Supreme Court
As I expected, the Supreme Court upheld Tennessee’s ban on “gender-affirming care” in United States v. Skrmetti. I thought the courts were worth putting up with Trump’s bullshit.
8. No War With Iran
Trump bombed Iran’s nuclear program for Israel, but stopped well short of going to war with Iran. There was no regime change war with Iran in 2025. Trump thought he could send in the B-2s, take out the nuclear program and quickly pivot to passing the Big Beautiful Bill. He severely underestimated how controversial and divisive the fallout from the strike would be in the MAGA base.
9. Ukraine War
Trump tried and failed to end the war in Ukraine. I doubted he would succeed because the two sides – Russia on the one hand, Ukraine and the Europeans on the other – are too dug into their positions. I doubted he would succeed in ending the war and that is what happened.
10. Blizzard of Executive Orders
If anything, the blizzard of executive orders in the first months of Trump 2.0 was larger than expected. It was more like an avalanche of executive orders that teed up litigation in the courts. Stephen Miller didn’t waste any time in picking all of the fights that he wanted because he knew that there would be setbacks in the lower courts and final decisions would only come later in Trump’s second term.
11. Mass Deporations
Mass deportations have been underwhelming in 2025, but the Big Beautiful Bill was only passed in the summer and it takes time to recruit and build infrastructure. The problem has not been a lack of funding or political will power. I still think mass deportations will be achieved later in Trump’s term.
12. Alt-Right Remnants Continue Clowning Themselves
For the most part, activists behaved as I expected in 2025.
They all predicted a war with Iran which didn’t happen. Eric Striker predicted World War III would happen with Iran, Russia and Venezuela. The Venezuela situation is alarming and something on that front might happen in 2026, but it looks like we will close out the year without a major new war.
Nick Fuentes had a very successful year in spite of repeatedly clowning himself, in spite of Trump pulling back and not going to war with Iran, in spite of Trump ending illegal immigration, etc. If nothing else, Fuentes is charismatic and entertaining and much of the Right, especially the Zoomer Right, wants to be entertained more than anything else. They don’t read books like older generations.
Charlie Kirk’s assassination was a big curve ball. Kirk had been very successful in rebranding, changing his image and absorbing the Alt-Right audience and integrating its grievances into conservatism. Today, however, it looks like Ben Shapiro is leading a movement to return Con Inc. back to 2015. The Alt-Right faded because it was being integrated into conservatism, but if Shapiro succeeds in taking Con Inc. back to the good old days of Jewish gatekeepers and purges it is possible this trend could reverse.
13. Israel and Saudi Arabia Normalize Relations
This didn’t happen in 2025 because it took Trump too long to put a lid on the war in Gaza and because Israel under Netanyahu has refused to create a path toward Palestinian statehood. The Trump administration will continue to push for it and expanding the Abraham Accords.
14. Democrats In The Wilderness
Democrats are deeply unpopular and failed to address their brand problem in 2025, but thermostatic politics has kicked back in, Trump is unpopular and the usual cycle of backlash politics is enough to overperform in special elections and do well in the midterms.
15. Trump’s Revenge Tour Begins
Trump got indictments of James Comey and Letitia James and took a victory lap over Rob Reiner who was recently murdered by his own son. He has settled all kinds of scores over the past year. He succeeded in purging Marjorie Taylor Greene from Congress and is trying to take out Thomas Massie.
16. America’s “Golden Age” Begins
In retrospect, I wish I had leaned more into my prediction that Trump’s “Golden Age” would be Gilded Age II, as that would have explained pretty much everything that happened this year. The tech bros and corporate donors got nearly everything that they wanted. The Trump tax cuts were extended. The stock market did great. Ordinary people continued to be ground down by inflation.
The Gilded Age was a time of political assassinations and political volatility. No one remembers much of anything about unsuccessful presidents like James Garfield, Chester Arthur, Grover Cleveland and Benjamin Harrison because nothing much happened during their terms. Politics was incredibly heated. It was one backlash election after another. The only saving grace about the Gilded Age was that Americans gave up on Reconstruction and steadily became more racist in the late 19th century.
Trump’s recent address to the nation about his A-plus-plus-plus economy is consistent with living through Gilded Age II. Expecting Trump to be a successful, transformative president like FDR who ends the cycle of backlash politics and cobbles together and durable government majority was wishful thinking on my part. Perhaps he will be remembered for hosting billionaires in his gilded ballroom though?
17. The Jewish Question Continues To Go Mainstream
It would be an understatement to say the Jewish Question went mainstream in 2025.
Trump’s attack on Iran’s nuclear program in June was less significant than the bunker buster he dropped on the taboo on the Jewish Question. The fighting with MIGA over Israel has gone on for six months and shows no signs of abating as we enter election season. Trump called Marjorie Taylor Greene a traitor. She responded by calling Trump a traitor who sold out his base to Israel. Did anyone think a year ago that there would be this much vicious infighting in MAGA over Jewish power in American politics?
Another development was the austin metcalf, iryna, shiloh etc campaigns. Normie Whites are waking up.
The self-proclaimed Australian “National Socialist” Sewell defames Henrik Palmgren’s stream well-founded doubts about the authenticity of the alleged Bondi ‘massacre’ as “schizo conspiracies” [sic]. Apparently, he suddenly considers the ZOG media to be absolutely credible (which, on closer inspection, is quite “schizo” in itself).
Or he prefers to exploit the case “to illustrate the danger of Muslim immigration” because his people in Australia are now under so much pressure that they are resorting to hypocrisy as a protective claim and opportunistically siding with the lying press. That was too irrational for me, and I turned it off after 5 seconds.
He owes us an explanation as to what this has to do with “schizo” (a term from psychiatry, the definition of which he probably doesn’t even know), and why he shouldn’t be taken for a ride in such a cheap way, because he can’t offer one. However, “schizo” is a word that his people certainly hear frequently as a reproach, a projection that he can now conveniently apply to others.
People do not understand the dynamics and procedures of such fake “terrorist attacks.” Let’s assume that someone makes a lot of noise by firing loud blank cartridges from military stockpiles near a crowd of people, and at the same time (as if “guided by magic”) 15 of the 25 crisis actors present fall down, activating their implanted blood ampoules, then the crowd of uninvolved bystanders will flee as if controlled by herd instinct, because they have now linked the loud bangs as a trigger with the alleged “victims.”
Back at the scene of the incident, only the crisis actors remain, including their colleagues with their fake “rescue measures” and, of course, the already well-known “witnesses,” who are then interviewed everywhere by the lying journalists, as are the strangely fearless smartphone video makers who also happened to be on site at the same time.

Mark Collett also believes in the authenticity of the Bondi “massacre.” For him, the only thing that matters is who benefits from it; whether the recordings are conclusive, logical, and genuine is clearly not his bread and butter.
