New York Times: Trump Says MAGA Has No Place For Antisemites

I don’t think this is going to be a problem.

A very loud faction of antisemites have long opposed Trump and didn’t vote for him in 2024. He has spent the last year alienating the rest who supported him out of pragmatism.

New York Times:

“President Trump said that neither the Republican Party nor the MAGA movement had room for people with antisemitic views, his most direct public statement yet in a debate pulsing through his movement over the inclusion of supporters who spread hate.

“I think we don’t need them,” he said on Wednesday during an interview with The New York Times, when asked whether such people had a place in his coalition. “I think we don’t like them.”

After years in which Mr. Trump has variously embraced and tolerated far-right figures and groups, the Republican Party is mired in a debate about how expansive its coalition should be and whether it should include figures like Nick Fuentes, a Holocaust denier and avowed antisemite. Mr. Trump’s comments stand in contrast to Vice President JD Vance, who said last month that the party did not need “purity tests.” …”

MAGA has been around for a decade.

We’re heading into Trump’s final midterm election in which he has endorsed Lindsey Graham, Tom Cotton, Byron Donalds, Vivek Ramaswamy and Randy Fine. He purged Marjorie Taylor Greene from Congress and is focused on taking out Thomas Massie for AIPAC. He is about to be a lame duck.

How does Trump intend to spend what remains of his political capital from the 2024 election? He has reduced Venezuela to a colony for Chevron and Paul Singer. He is threatening to take Greenland from Denmark for Ronald Lauder who is the president of the World Jewish Congress. He appears to be planning another regime change in Cuba and another regime change war on Iran for Israel. He has also found the time over the past year to attack Iraq, Syria, Somalia, Yemen and Nigeria.

We’re only 10 months away from Trump’s final two years in office. MAGA will have ran its course. We will be emerging on the other side of the Trump era. Will there be any antisemites left who identify with MAGA by then? Will anyone believe America has been restored to greatness in 2027?

A year from now, I think MAGA will be seen as a rebrand of Zionism, neoconservatism and the old Republican establishment. It is Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham. It is Randy Fine, Laura Loomer, Mark Levin, Miriam Adelson and Bibi Netanyahu. It is pardoning Jewish criminals and protecting “my friends” who were pals with Jeffrey Epstein. It will have lost its populist image.
