GOP Caves On Mass Deportations

Yesterday, we witnessed the final two nails being driven into the coffin of the project of reforming the Republican Party. The White House and House Republicans abandoned the rhetoric of “mass deportations” and Jeremy Carl withdrew his nomination for a State Department job.

Axios:

DORAL, FL — White House Deputy Chief of Staff James Blair privately urged House Republicans on Tuesday to stop emphasizing “mass deportations” and instead focus their messaging on removing violent criminals, according to sources in the closed-door briefing.

Why it matters: Mass deportations were central to the GOP’s 2024 campaign message. …”

Nothing has changed on the policy front.

This is a messaging change. The policy was and remains “targeted enforcement” and removal of criminal illegal aliens. They just aren’t going to bother calling that “mass deportations” anymore. Kristi Noem aka “ICE Barbie” is out at DHS. She is being replaced by AIPAC soldier Sen. Markwayne Mullin.

Just as we suspected, the purpose of the theatrical ICE operation in Minneapolis was to discredit and drop “mass deportations.” The Trump administration knew their unpopular war with Iran was coming up. They are now dropping the mask. The purpose of flooding DHS with tens of billions of dollars and building detention facilities all over the country was never to deport illegal aliens.

Politico:

“A political commentator who argued that white people are the victims of racism and need help protecting their “identity” withdrew his candidacy Tuesday for a senior diplomatic role in the State Department as Republican opposition placed his nomination in jeopardy.

Jeremy Carl was nominated by President Donald Trump to serve as assistant secretary of state for international organization affairs in June, but his confirmation appeared precarious in recent weeks after Sen. John Curtis (R-Utah) vowed to vote against his confirmation. …”

In related news, Jeremy Carl has withdrawn as a candidate for a job in the State Department because he couldn’t get through the Senate confirmation process. Sen. John Curtis of Utah tanked his confirmation because Carl had been too critical of Israel. Jeremy Carl is a Claremont guy who has Jewish ancestry who wrote a book about anti-White discrimination and even he can’t get a symbolic job in the Trump administration. It is another great example how utterly in thrall the GOP is to Jewish interests.
