Israel is getting hit by Iranian ballistic missiles that get through its defenses causing considerable damage. An excellent question, I don’t know the answer. The U.S. Government claims Iran is running low on missiles, drones and launchers but there is no way to determine if this is true. This doesn’t mean the U.S. Government is necessarily lying, it’s just that wartime is confusing with lots of contradictory and incomplete information.
Missile defense is inherently more difficult and expensive than attacking. The attacker can choose his target, time of attack and within limits, trajectory. The defense must be ready 24/7 for all types of attacks including mixes of missiles i.e. cruise missiles, slow drones, ballistic missiles, manned aircraft etc. The attack uses simpler weapons than the defense except for when manned aircraft are used.
Defense requires high powered, phased array perimeter radars to detect a launch as soon as possible so as to determine likely targets and calculate a fire control solution for the interceptor. There also must be a means of correcting the interceptor in flight as it approaches the incoming missile. All of these systems are expensive and have long lead times to manufacture especially with the thieving procurement system in the U.S. designed to enrich military contractors and politicians.

That’s just the officially reported figure, as outrageous as it is, you know , with certainty, that there are unreported ‘favors’ that go unreported.
Well, I should I have seen this one coming. Maybe not, as I have never known the news to be this bad despite the war mongers’ happy talk about great gains and mission accomplished – almost, BUT…
People are now allowed to enlist for military service up to 42 and the drug testing standards have been adjusted enough to allow avid pot-smokers to pass muster. For the life of me, I don’t know why they didn’t go the Full Monty and raise the age up to 49, but give them time.
So, I am pretty damned sure stop-loss has already been put in effect. No one can leave the military right now. Exit paperwork is NOT being processed. Those who recently left are being recalled and especially those who retired with full-benefits will be recalled if they want to keep the pension they earned.
The fastest track to full citizenship for illegals already here or those abroad who want it, though I can’t understand why, at this point, will be through military service.
I believe it’s a matter of time where TPTB go back to a standard operating procedure with young people who used to get in a lot of legal trouble and have the offender either join the military or go to jail. That used to happen ALL the time during the Vietnam War.
Of course, the danger is that, under a new strict “Law and Order” program, number of offenses where a draft age person can be incarcerated for a good stretch is going to skyrocket in order to fill those military quotas.
Thanks to the fecklessness of TMFIIC drowning in their own hubris, I predict that, as this War with Iran quickly turns into another meat grinder like Ukraine vs Russia, more people will opt to go to prison. A former prison guard told me that most new American converts to Islam come out of prison and the reason why.
The big problem with that is, thanks to the number of Muslims already incarcerated and the fact that the prisons are forced to feed them HALAL recipes – the good stuff, not the prison slop, we will end up with tons of Muslim converts. If you’re curious as to what HALAL food tastes like, take a visit and check out a Mediterranean restaurant or get on the internet and make a few recipes. Not only healthy, but absolutely delicious.
This is the greatest unforced error in military history. The reason why every president since Benjamin Netanyahu started agitating for invading Iran back in the nineties has refused to do so is that the Pentagon has WAR-GAMED the invasion of Iran every single time Benjy-Boy came a’calling and IRAN WON EVERY TIME. And THIS was before Iran had great advanced weaponry courtesy of China and Russia. And NOWHERE in any of these war-games did the possibility of Iran attacking the American bases installed with Israel’s Sunni Arab neighbors.
I get the impression that all the OTHER wars were allowed by previous administrations in order to give Israel and AIPAC a bone. This was obviously a huge mistake, because all these wars for Israel have not only put us teetering on the edge of bankruptcy but only whetted their appetite for even MORE wars for Israel. This latest bite at the Big Enchilada is causing Netanyahu’s more “moderate” opposition leader, Benny Ganz, to put TURKEY, a NATO ally, as up next on Israel’s Hit Parade.
