“Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Thursday said “it’s possible” that President Donald Trump was sent to protect the Jewish people from the threat of Iran.
During an interview with Pompeo broadcast on the Christian Broadcasting Network, Middle East bureau chief Chris Mitchell noted that Wednesday and Thursday marked the celebration of Purim, which is derived from the story of Queen Esther, who in the Hebrew Bible was married to a Persian king and saved thousands of Jews from being killed.
“Could it be that President Trump right now has been sort of raised for such a time as this, just like Queen Esther, to help save the Jewish people from the Iranian menace?” Mitchell asked Pompeo.
“As a Christian, I certainly believe that’s possible,” Pompeo, who was visiting Israel, replied.
“I am confident that the Lord is at work here,” Pompeo concluded.
The comments came after Trump announced the U.S. will recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights region, which was part of Syria until the Six-Day War in 1967.
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday called the United States’ recognition a “Purim miracle,” the CBN reported.

I blame people like Mike Pompeo for alienating me from Christianity in my youth. When I was in college, I looked around and saw all of these Christian Zionist Boomers condemning me for “anti-Semitism” and fellating Israel and I assumed that was Christianity. Now, I realize that people like that are a purely American phenomenon and a product of their times and televangelists like Pat Robertson.
Historically speaking, there is no such thing as the “Judeo-Christian West.” Christian Zionism is a bizarre American cult that took off in the late 20th century with Boomers due to fundamentalists getting on radio and television. It grew out of the Dispensationalist movement in the late 19th century and has been propped up by our Jewish oligarchy ever since they became wealthy and powerful in the United States around the 1940s because it suits their own purposes.
Anyway, Mike Pompeo is preparing for a “clash of civilizations” between the “Judeo-Christian West” (a purely fictional product of his own ignorance of Western civilization) and China:

The Chinese vision of the 21st century is growing wealthy and building infrastructure around the world to expand China’s power and influence by helping other countries succeed in becoming rich. Undoubtedly, the Chinese would also like to eject the Americans from the Western Pacific. Similarly, their Russian allies want to eject the Americans from their doorstep in Eastern Europe.
What is Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s vision of the 21st century? Apparently, it is hastening the Apocalypse in the Middle East by inciting a regional war with Iran for the sake of Israel, toppling the Venezuelan government in the name of “human rights” and other transparent lies, fighting a “clash of civilizations” with China and experiencing the Rapture with his fellow Boomers.
Note: It was my historicism that changed my view of Christianity. As I read more about the Middle Ages and Early Modern Europe, it began to dawn on me how little in common people like Mike Pompeo have in common with the Christian faith that inspired Notre Dame Cathedral.
Pompeo is from a family of Italian Roman Catholics. So possibly Judeo-Catholic would be a better descriptor for him? LOL. Although, in the North, from my experience, it’s not uncommon to find Italians who have converted to some fringe Bible church.
