According to traditional Catholic moral teaching there are four sins that “cry out to Heaven for vengeance” based upon the Bible. These sins are: 1.) Willful murder (Genesis 4:10), 2.) Oppression of the poor (Exodus 2:23), 3.) Defrauding workers of their wages (James 5:4) and 4.) Sodomy (Genesis 18:20). I know Trump isn’t what one would call a religious man but endorsing homosexual conduct from the highest office in the land strikes me as being anti-Christian regardless of one’s denomination or opinion of the Church. How that can be considered “conservative” is beyond my understanding. How sincere Christians regardless of denomination can accept this is a mystery.
Perhaps his career as an amoral businessman informs his religious thinking, such as it is, when properly it should be the opposite. A properly formed moral compass should inform his business and political decisions which would proscribe any of this “gay rights” bullshit as well as other things. It would also require that he put U.S. interests first since he did swear an oath on the Bible to do just that, not Israel’s interests.
Swearing an oath falsely is also a grave sin but I guess his son-in-law has given him absolution.
