   This is a period of Anglo-American history I am quite familiar with. My great grandmother told me about the time when it was dangerous to have a German surname, and/or speak German in public.

   • Novemeber, the same thing happened to my family right arond 1913 when my great great grandparents dropped a c h from their name which Anglicanized it from its German roots. We never knew until a few years ago when we took a trip back to the family plot in another state. It must have been bad because the had been in the country for over 100 years at that point.

3. This is nothing new. The main hubs of the train and bus terminals in Manhattan have been swarming with soldiers and rifles for decades now. They never left after 9/11. Most are black, Hispanic or Indian and women who seem to be more interested in chatting but the fact remains the same.

5. It was clear from beginning that communists attempt to create new Soviet Union. So Donald with his RINOs was the last defense line against full communist like we had corrupt and useless Kerensky 100 years ago.

       • Despite a full century of Western anti-communist propaganda, a very substantial part perhaps the majority of the Russian electorate says communism was better than neoliberalism that they have now. You are definitely in a minority of Russians who say they hate it.     Wasn’t that one of your talking points for why we shouldn’t have supported Trump in 2020? Because things would settle down afterwards — that things were worse than ever before for the genuine Right during Trump, but that once he was gone, things would go back to the way they were, say, under Obama, when things were supposedly better?

    Well, here we are, and rather than the Left easing off, as this site predicted they would, the Left is only growing more fanatical.

    Which is what the reluctant Trump supporters predicted would happen.

    And now we don’t even have a figurehead offering token resistance.

    • Politics in the U.S. is like a ratchet used for fixing cars. You put that 9/16ths inch socket on that 3/8ths inch ratchet, turn it to loosen the bolt, then turn it the other direction to get more room to turn the ratchet again. The ratchet locks the direction of travel of the socket, one direction only.

      Politics in the U.S. is like that ratchet, it only locks in a leftward direction though. The election of Republicans is merely the slack to turn the ratchet right to turn the socket left again. The country goes in one direction only, leftward whether it’s the Democrats or the loathsome Republicans.

11. The riot that Trump incited on January 6th seemed goofy (and it was), but serious crimes were still committed. For this reason it’s very different from many previous things that the left freaked out about, where they had to invent wrongdoing that did not actually exist.

    Being goofy is not a defense. You can look like a harmless, ridiculous clown, but still end up committing crimes that demand decades of imprisonment.

    What Trump did gives the system a free pass to do a bunch of authoritarian stuff that it wanted to do anyway. For now, the (relevant portions of the) public won’t care about this “overreach” and to some extent the “overreach” is DEMANDED by the seriousness of what Trump did. (Eventually people will get tired of the overreach and want to move on from it but only after it has already happened. At that point, it will be permanent.)

    There is no possibility that the system would just relax and do nothing. A just system might show some mercy to the pawns but it would still need to prosecute those who incited the riot. Our unjust system will likely focus on the pawns and let most of the higher level people off.

    The conservative impulse to deny the seriousness of what occurred at the Trump riot and play the victim is just another example of the conservative tendency to retreat from reality and try to live in a fantasy world of their own creation.

    Sometimes they can get away with this, other times, reality will not allow itself to be ignored. In this case, they will not be able to ignore the harsh legal consequences of what they did.

    However, it’s entirely possible that denial and playing the victim will work as an electoral strategy. Conservatives will run against the “oppressive” left in the next election and by then people will be tired of the new domestic war on terror.

    Once conservatives get back into power, they will keep the new war on terror in place, but slightly adjust who is targeted by it. (They will use it to persecute pro-Whites, as they did under Trump.)

    Rather than repeating conservative narratives and empowering them to persecute pro-whites in the future, we should seek to hold conservative elites legally (and morally) accountable for the very real crimes (and immoral acts) that they have committed. They should not be allowed to walk free and put all the blame on the pawns.

    This offers the potential to for change and a way to avoid the “vote GOP in 2022, 2024 in order to stop Biden’s tyranny” trap that “White Populism” is already falling into.

    Remember, you’re supposed to be trying to compete with and replace the GOP, not just functioning as an unpaid repeater for their narrative.

The coup in Myanmar, the silver shortage ( not from redditers, it is institutional buying), Russia announcing Feb1 that they are preparing to disconnect from the California Internet, the increasing probability of a war with Iran, the standoff in the Black Sea, Chinese, Russian, and American violations of Taiwanese air space, whose shiny new hi tech toys will work best?
    It looks like we will soon find out.

    If they lose this war they will need that Capitol wall. And a lot more.

    And Texas just might finally do it.
