I don’t believe any of these unsubstantiated accusations against Graham Platner either. I’m tired of political operatives weaponizing bullshit accusations of sexual assault. The accusations against Eric Swalwell are a different story, for example, because what he did was caught on video.
We saw what happened to Bernie Sanders in 2020 when party insiders fixed the Democratic primary for Joe Biden. Then we saw what happened when the same party insiders forced a Democratic president who had won the primary to suspend his campaign. A lot of people have probably forgotten, but abortion was a big topic for the 2024 election. Kamala was seen as pro abortion while Trump wasn’t. What did 70% of white women in the South do? They voted for Trump. The percentages for white men outside the South were smaller, many times MUCH smaller than that. So white men outside the South voted for abortion more than white Southern women did. White men in the Northeast and on the Pacific Coast voted for it more than white women in the Interior West or Midwest did. White women overall in America voted for Trump in the 50s percentage wise while white men voted for him at 60%. This isn’t a huge difference that white men should be high fiving each other over.
I am starting to think that this bashing of white women is an excuse to avoid calling out a lot of white men up North and on the Pacific Coast and parts of the Midwest for how they vote. It is becoming tiresome. It isn’t factual. And I don’t see how it helps us.
