Jewish Power: Organizations II

Guy White has claimed all along that it is “mathematically impossible” for wealthy Jews to contribute 60% of campaign contributions to the Democratic Party, 30% to the Republican Party, and 43% to Democratic presidential candidates. Here are the numbers:

Jewish contributions to Democratic Party, 2008 (60%): est. $457,800,000
Jewish contributions to Republican Party, 2008 (30%): est. $237,660,000
Jewish contributions to Democratic presidential candidates, 2008 (43%): est. $464,185,000
Grand Total, 2008: est. $1,159,645,000

In Jewish Power: Philanthropy, I pointed out that Jews give $3.4 to $9 billion dollars to charity every year. This raises the question: if Jews give 3x as much money to charity every year, why can’t they spend $1.2 billion every two years on politics?

Let’s take a look at regional Jewish charities. Presumably, all the contributors to these organizations/charities are Jews, as they serve the Jewish community. The following numbers are from Charity Navigator:

  1. Parody:

There are 106,100 Jews in Arizona. If Jews contributed $6.5 million to the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix, the average Arizona Jew would have to contribute $65.26 a year. Insanity!

  2. Astonishing information; obviously White people need to form the Arizona Christian Citizen’s Charity Council, and the European American Federation Fund, and the Arizona Catholic Alliance, and the Arizona Baptist Missionary Fund, and United Christian Charities, and the Arizona Cultural Foundation.

I’d be willing to donate $62.26 a year, and a tax deduction would be icing on the cake.

  3. The Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona raised $9.4 million. That means the total raised was $15.9, not 6.5 million. With 106,100 Jews in Arizona, the average Jewish contribution is $149.86.

  5. Hunter, you’re wiping the floor with this guy, it’s almost not fair.

If Guy has any questions when he’s done, he’s welcome to sit in at any partner’s meetings at any of the big law firms in my town. He’ll be clear of any misgivings from that point forward.

  6. the Jewish Federation of Broward County has never raised as much ast 15. 1 million. For years now, it has barely raised 6 million and fallilng rapidly. I now have to assume all these numbers are completely bogus.

  7. Ray Levi is at least correct that donations to Jewish philanthropic organizations are dropping rapidly nowadays because so many Jewish Ponzi schemes have collapsed lately and a lot of bloodsucking Jewish plutocrats have thus been busted and imprisoned.
