Kennedy is a problematic figure for a variety of reasons. On balance I think Nixon deserved the presidency in 1960. Kennedy was an historic error. He was a negrophile and an Anglophobe.
Nixon became a paranoid by the time of the late 1960s. Who wouldn’t? He had spent the 50s trying to ferret out opponents. He was mentally healthy before the bruising defeats in 1960 and the Cal governor debacles. He was commisioned by the nation to turn back the clock… and had to put the lid back on the experiments of the 1960s. Even then he failed. Pandora’s box had been opened.

The question is not who killed JFK, it’s who didn’t want him killed. So many different factions benefited from his death, and so many considered JFK their enemy.
