I can certainly appreciate that Jews in the South stood by their Christian neighbors. I applaud them for it. But is not the issue whether they would do so today?
The economy was not so stable in the 1950’s, because people remembered the Great Depression. 20 years is a short time.
A “bad” economy, that is, an economy that isn’t the Automatic Cornucopia, relies more on social cohesion. Jews living among us felt they had more to lose, if they alienated us.

Hunter Wallace has been digging up history of the mid 20th century, and he found a gem — Jews in the South didn’t support the CIvil rights movement.
Why not?
I think I figured out why.
Because in a “bad” economy, social cohesion matters more. If you are a Jewish shop owner in a Southern rural area, are you really going to tell the local men that heir daughters should be sharking? that’s a way to get yourself killed, or at least get boycotted out of business. if you own shares in Walmart, who cares what the local rednecks think, those schmucks!
A regular man could go to the local Jewish shop owner and say with a look of menace, “tell you what, I disagree with such and such a thing, and I woudln’t never give my business to someone who pushes that agenda.”
Right now Jewish bourgeouis are able to hang out on Mount Olympus, insulated by the Automatic Corn Syrup Cornucopia and massive armies of paychecked police and military and the mass media and public schools all singing their tune.
But in a “bad” economy, they will be forced down from Mount Olympus. They’ll hve to tell us to our faces how much they thuink whites suck and should go extinct. They’ll have to do business among us, rather than from above us.

During times of prosperity, goodthinkers can employ armies, public schools, mass media and as a last resort, the $PLC, to enforce goodthink, while insulating themselves from any negative consequences of goodthink. In times of economic contraction, the goodthinkers don’t have the surplus wealth to enforce goodthink while insulating themselves from the consequences of goodthink. Hunter doesn’t mention the phenomenon of Jewish Klansmen in northern rural small towns, while it was socially and politically advantageous to be supremacist here until about the mid-sixties. Some of them, I know, were “the bad, northern, Yankee kind” (Ashkenazis).
Furthermore, they were the Sephardics, not Ashkenazis, who led the way in colonial and nineteenth century New England.

Hunter, a good book about MLK is “House Divided” by Lionel Lokos. LL was a conservative, Northern, Jewish writer, prominent in the 1960’s. The book critically looks at King’s actual actions and shows he was so out of step with reality that even the NAACP and the New York Times roundly criticized him for his stupidity. It’s absolutely amazing how many times the NYT is quoted in HD as critical of MLK. The Old Grey Lady would be gang banged today if she tried to be that critical of some one like Sharpton or Jackson.
What a tiny demographic in the South did, or did not do, really doesn’t matter much. What did the Chinese in the South do in the 1960’s? LOL. Get my drift?
The author notes that over 80 percent of the Jews who live in the South today are recent transplants from the Northern states. So while this is all very interesting, it doesn’t reflect much on whether there is a Jewish problem here in 2013.
I have said all along that the existence of the Union, not the Jewish Question, was the primary cause of the South’s downfall.
I hadn’t specifically taken the time to research the Jewish Question in the South though. This recent series of threads was inspired by the Bicausalism Type B debate. Even I though didn’t know the Jewish Question was so muted here.
If there is a similar book about Northern Jews, I will buy it and review it here.
The North’s dysfunctional culture looms even larger now. There was something about the North’s culture that emboldened Jews whereas they were intimidated by the South’s culture and tried to fit in.
Saint Martin referring to “our Jewish brothers” speaks volumes, doesn’t tell us anything we didn’t already know.
Northern Jews were his greatest allies. They gave SCLC a ton of money.
Having grown up in the Northeast, I saw how it was easier to feel sympathetic toward blacks when you didn’t have to actually interact with them. Obama got the highest percentage of the white vote in states with the lowest percentage of blacks. Perhaps this exacerbates the innate northern Jewish solicitude toward blacks.
All this information shows is that Jews are not monolithic in all times and places. No one has suggested otherwise. The information doesn’t prove much EXCEPT that exceptions often do prove the rule.

– In the South, Jews weren’t trying to overthrow the established Southern way of life.
– In the South, Christianity fueled secession, the Confederacy, the Lost Cause, opposition to the Civil Rights Movement, opposition to the Counterculture, opposition to feminism and gay rights, etc.
– In the South, agrarian and industrial capitalism reinforced White racial consciousness. The South eventually industrialized, but it didn’t follow the same trajectory as the North.
– In the South, the Second World War had no discernible effect on White racial attitudes.
– In the South, White Southerners remained as committed as ever to the Jim Crow system during the Cold War, and anti-communism reinforced the status quo.

Jews were simply far more numerous in the North, especially the Northeast, than the South. That’s why Northern Jews were so much more confident in themselves, and therefore felt empowered to be openly hostile to the majority population, than Southern Jews were.
Jews were also far more numerous in South Africa (on a per capita basis) than in the American South. And with numbers comes strength, which explains why Jews in SA felt self-confident enough to be unremittingly hostile to apartheid compared with the tiny Jewish population in the South, who more or less went along with the Jim Crow system. And if anything, the white South African culture (especially that of the Afrikaners) was far more intimidating than anything found in North America. Even in the South. Even in Quebec.
Speaking of Quebec, Montreal was historically the centre of Canada’s Jewish community until the 1970s when French language laws and the threat of secession chased most of them away to Toronto. Since then they’ve partially been replenished with an influx of Sephardic Jews from France and North Africa, but Montreal’s once-powerful Jewish community is a shadow of its former self.
The Jews and Quebecois have been hostile to one another ever since Jews began flooding into Montreal in the late 19th century. Witness the writings of Mordechai Richler and the Abbé Lionel Groulx for examples of the vitriol from each side. That battle is essentially over and the Quebecois won. But only by deploying a secret weapon so devastating that it may end up destroying the host society in the end: mass Muslim immigration.
The reasons why the American Jewish population are so anti-white and anti-Christian compared to other Jewish communities in the West are twofold: Because of the sheer size of American Jewry in both absolute and per capita terms, and because, outside of Israel, the US is probably the only nation on Earth where Jews outnumber Muslims.
As the Muslim population in the US grows rapidly through immigration, high birthrates and conversions, watch for the Jews to move to the right politically. It’s already happened in France where a majority of Jews voted for the conservative Sarkozy over the socialist Hollande, and in Canada where 52% of Jews voted for the Conservatives compared to only 40% of the general population. I’m less sure about the situation in Britain and Australia, but I believe that Jews are fairly evenly split between the left and right in those countries.
So there you have it, folks. The most effective way to curb Jewish power and influence is to import anti-Jewish Muslims into your country. But just like the Aussies found out after importing cane toads to control the plague of cane beetles, sometimes the cure is worse than the disease.
Jews are perennial shapeshifters. When it’s expedient for them to fit in they will. It’s not wise or reasonable to mistake this for loyalty or compatibility.

Too many pro-Whites, myself included, have a big problem putting the Jewish Question into it’s proper perspective. IMO Hunter has done an excellent job in this regard.

Well said, Lew. Straw man or hyperbole, either way, too many pro- “Southern Judaism” appreciation posts might mislead some readers to let their guard down or ignore the problem entirely.
Some think that cooperative Talmudic-and-white Elitism is being soft-pedaled by this blog, and that WHITES (the MAJORITY of whites in America, those living or originating “above the Line” or on the West Coast or Great Plains, etc. — anywhere outside the former Confederate states) are being proven through statistics and historical examples to be the TRUE “root of evil.”
The secession movement is good and right in itself, but promoting it THROUGH the promotion of internecine white strife is effectively dividing and conquering ourselves.
Soft-pedaled should have been soft-peddled or soft-selling, despite whatever new cyber feature has begun manipulating my spelling, even second-guessing and finishing words before I finish typing them lately.

Habitats do not change genetics, although selection occurs over time in changing habitats. Anglo Celts for example do not vary because the climate of Florida is different from Britain or from the climate in New England, etc. The work of tropical agriculture versus Great Plains agriculture doesn’t cause human nature to change.
