I had a brief conversation with a friend this afternoon about the direction of the Southern Nationalist movement that reminded me of a term that Matt Parrott coined and introduced here several years ago:
“He won’t be able to answer you, because (Holocaust) Denial is about cryptkeeping. A stagnant movement gathers a lot of undesirables, and chief among them are the cryptkeepers, men who live entirely in a different time and place than the present. Most of them have barely concealed contempt for the contemporary White Americans they pretend to be advocates for. Their hearts and minds are in Nazi Germany, or the antebellum South, or even a mythical Hyperborea of Aryan demigods.”
Matt Parrott has used this term on many other occasions:
“In all seriousness, I think a distinction must be made between those who advocate a restoration of a more healthy and sustainable way of life and those I call “cryptkeepers”, who are truly committed to the anachronistic fetishization of bygone nations, defunct oligarchies, and obsolete behavioral patterns. It’s easy enough to tell who they are because they’re the ones who never even think to explore ways to bring people who exist now to the place they ostensibly wish to take them.
They’re not trying to heal the living. They’re mourning the dead.”
This brings me to the ongoing debate on the internet over Confederate Correctness which I have heard about, but haven’t really had the chance to follow, about the Southern Nationalist flag, the dress code at League of the South rallies, and which flags and signs will be displayed at the Uvalda, GA rally.
My own view is that the modern Southern Nationalist struggle is distinct from the causes that our ancestors were fighting for in both the American Revolution and the War Between the States: monarchy vs. republicanism, national independence, limited government vs. consolidation, slavery, honor, states’ rights, etc.
In the 21st century, we are are fighting for our survival as a distinct people. We are in a struggle to secure our existence. We are fighting over land and women. We aren’t fighting over propositions like “natural rights” or “self government” or even national independence which is only a secondary goal.
When I look into my girlfriend’s eyes, I know that I am fighting for the present and the future of my people. I’m fighting for my future descendants who will survive me and who will live on forever through my people, not “liberty” or my dead ancestors. As much as I admire their cause, it is not the same or as serious as my own cause.
If every Confederate flag was burned and every Confederate monument was destroyed and every other aspect of our Confederate heritage was lost tomorrow, but the future existence of people was secured in the process, it would be worth the cost.
We the living are not the “cryptkeepers” of the Confederacy.
Note: In sum, it doesn’t matter which flag is used, or how we are supposed to dress at the Uvalda rally. The only thing that matters is our genetic survival as a people and we should use whatever flag, symbol, or dress code that best advances that goal.
Red, you and I go back a little ways and I value your thoughts which certainly do have merit. But at the same time there is much to be said for Palmetto Patriot’s opinions. These are not new discussions after all. They’ve been endlessly debated as far as the consequences of using one symbol over another. These flag arguments are a distraction when not kept in perspective. Arguing over minutia will paralyze a movement. Palmetto Patriot is a leader in Southern nationalism. It’s not something he’s proclaimed for himself. It’s something he’s earned by putting his time, effort, money and reputation on the line. Anyone who will denounce other Southern nationalists over some minor disagreement and work to undermine their efforts is putting himself or herself before the movement. Sniping at those who have proven themselves is betraying the movement. Which I just want to point out that I’m not accusing anyone here of doing. It might very well be that the new symbol will flop. But that doesn’t mean that there is no point in trying new things to further the movement.

With respect, this is a terrible idea. White people are already in demographic decline because of all the people who refuse to bring children into this wicked old world. If feudal peasants had refused to procreate because of opposition to the system, who would have built a new and better system?
Systems come and systems go, but extinction is forever. Our people have survived slavery and oppression before. We will come back – but only if we have children, within our own race.
If the SNN black and white flag was the only flag being used in Uvalda, I would show up and wave it.
If the Bonnie Blue Flag was the only flag being used in Uvalda, I would show up and wave it.
If the Confederate Battle Flag and the Third National Flag were the only flags being used in Uvalda, I would show up and wave them.
If the Georgia state flag was the only flag being used in Uvalda, I would show up and wave it.
Just give me a flag and tell me what to do and I will be fine. My personal favorite flags are the Bonnie Blue Flag and the Southern Rights flag, but I am happy to wave whatever flag is given to me.

I have no idea why the Facebook link was removed.
One of our admins removed the FB post because the author turned off the comments capability.
If I turned off the comments capability I didn’t know it. I don’t even know how to do that. I said I preferred people comment at my blog rather than the Facebook post because I think the Facebook page is too in house. Better to debate it at a more neutral venue, and my blog tends to cover intra-right feuds anyway. But I didn’t turn off comments at FB unless I did it by accident.
There was a League protest in Florida shortly after the 2013 national conference. I’m sure that the Confederate battle flag was used there.
To clarify, I certainly don’t categorize all of Southern Nationalism as cryptkeeping. Neo-Confederate cryptkeeping does exist, but I think several of the more thoughtful Southern Nationalists, inclusive of Hunter Wallace, are answering today’s questions.

One question that is not being answered is what is to be done with all the Negroes in your midst.
Red, what dissent is being suppressed or purged? There is a demonstration being organised for which a dress code and rules regarding flags have been set. Opposition and criticism to those rules has been raised. To my knowledge none of that opposition has been suppressed. People are free to participate in that demo, stay home or organise their own event elsewhere.
Rudel, that question has been discussed multiple times and sometimes in depth.
Positive: It clarifies that Southerners are future oriented – simultaneously respects ancestors in the process.
Negative: The Battleflag resonates with Southerners. It’s known. It’s slightly prettier.
Another flag, btw, is the Bonnie Blue. I’ve had one on my car for years, and almost no one recognises it. Bonnie Blue has a friendlier, more positive appearance.

Bonnie Blue and Polk look very Americanesque too, which I suppose is a positive. The Polk Flag especially looks like a flag a man could fight for, as too does the the Battleflag of course.
If you haven’t seen the “Heritage Not Hate” tags, those are great.
A negative of the black and white SNN flag is that black is sometimes associated with “fascism”, e.g. “black shirts” and the National Fascist Party (Italian). Southerners wouldn’t be attracted to “foreign cryptkeepers” if the media spun it as such.

Genetic *and* cultural survival is the key, yea, not ideology or restoration of an outdated political system. I assume the last sentence mistakenly left out the word culture.
Anyway, I’m glad to see you’re still active. 🙂 I haven’t been keeping up with the blogosphere, sadly. Rallying to protest immigration is surely a positive move. Perhaps protesting these dang trade deals would also be positive. Thanks for the hard work!
I hear Chuck Baldwin retreated to Montana. If I retreat, it won’t be out of Dixie. My only concern with secession is the Beast might decide to bomb us as it did Serbia. If people just have children, discourage amalgamation, and maintain a cultural identity that’s enough for me. And patriotic Southerners should get more active in positions of power. Secession or no secession: We just need to survive as a people. I don’t say that in opposition to secession: Who am I to know what’s best?

Not really. What I see on this site are lame scenarios about “sending them up North” or that they will just magically evaporate when the federal government goes bankrupt.
