Copperhead we need to figure out FIRST should we just give in take the monuments down and put them up elsewhere or SECOND should we keep them where they are and establish some sort of security for them? This means motion sensor security cameras, armed guards, fences, whatever. The only problem with option 2 is the funding. Patrols of volunteers can only do so much you will need security cameras. Who will pay for them? There are enough wealthy men in the South, why don’t some of them put their money where their mouths are?
Memphis may as well be Zimbabwe. There are probably no monuments to the Rhodesian Light Infantry in Harare.

Whatever trick Trump has up his sleeve I do think his campaign is about as nationalistic as you can get and still expect to carry 50.1 of the vote. So he’s like the last Huzzah! For American democracy. Should he fail we will get a real fascist or National Socialist or a breakup by region.

Concerning Confederate monuments:
If you just have “Sgt Schultz” and the “F-Troop” guarding Confederate memorials, it is just a joke.
Read this article (link below) about poor Silent Sam, a Confederate Memorial on one the most liberal campuses in the South — UNC-Chapel Hill. He has been vandalized over the years which started not long after blacks integrated the school.
UNC has recently installed surveillance cameras (since July 2015) and they actually have the video of someone putting a Confederate flag as a blindfold on Sam but they just casually ignored it since there was no real criminal activity involved.
“Criminal Activity”? It seems that if a white person were to give any black icon probably even a harsh look or say something against it, he would he publicly hanged and the whole world would be attacking the South and everything Confederate.
Silent Sam is vilified by a majority of the students and faculty and about the “kindest” thing ever spoken about Sam today is the campus legend that Sam fires his rifle whenever a virgin passes by on the UNC campus and so far he’s never fired a shot.

Turn, as I said its either ONE Move Them or TWO Keep and guard them. I am not sure which one I would do or Hunter would do, I think it would have to be considered on a CASE BY CASE basis. Certain ones MUST stay others should be moved to be secured. The monuments must be considered on Triage, I mean make a list which are the most important, which are the least. Certain ones must be secured at all costs, I dont care if we have to place razor wire around them. Others it will be a judgement call.
Either way this problem needs solved and its time the SCV and others work out a workable solution. In small towns, it should be less difficult to police as in big cities. Case by Case basis
