Perhaps unknown to you, Trump’s comments are simply outside of legal “decency”. He let people like me down, and I am angry with him. Why would he say something so stupid, and state it in such an unintelligent and stupid manner knowing his every move was being shadowed by the Establishment? This is a horrible commentary on his judgment and, as stated, I am very angry & disappointed.
If Brad had a working knowledge of American History AND the law he could understand the shock & outrage of which he delights. I always figured once the primaries rolled around I would be voting for Trump. But I really do understand the frightening nature of his remarks. It has nothing to do with being Jewish, it’s about being American. I think the issue of concentration camps is a hot-button resulting in the usual knee jerk reaction of people whose relatives died in some of them. Of course, the concentration camp system was first set up for the Boers by the British years before the Nazis did it to people they considered enemies of their state, but you don’t see the Boers still using it to justify everything they do.
Roosevelt interning Japanese made sense He had a war to prosecute. Most of his men would be overseas fighting both Japan and Germany. He did not have the time, money, or manpower to protect Japanese Americans from the outraged citizenry or try to monitor them for any Japanese agent infiltration. The simple, most effective and logical thing to do, short of kicking them out of the country altogether was to intern them until the end of the war.
Even then, I don’t see how Trump’s plan to keep any more Muslims from entering the country the same as throwing them into internment camps. Immigration is a decision freely made. They don’t have to come here.
Moreover, I believe that Trump’s plan is rather mild. I feel that the family and friends of any jihadist should be deported back to their land of origin immediately. The only way to get true cooperation from so-called moderate Muslims is for them to understand that either they cooperate or they pay the consequences of deliberately turning a blind eye to the antics of their relatives.
Brad, are you truly, seriously asking “what’s my point”? I wish I could put this more diplomatically. Your question truly indicates intellectual vacuousness when it comes to an understanding of American Constitutional Law. In fact, when you express your opinions you often show outright derision for the Constitution and American Law. I think it best you either express your opinions admitting they are untethered to the Constitution, or periodically say nothing about subjects in which you have no knowledge. I think what we are seeing is a divided soul among white Americans. Their vision of America hasn’t been a reality for decades. Subconsciously they are torn between loyalty to their race and loyalty to modern day America. The two are no longer compatible. 1) Jewish culture is designed to induce paranoia as a method of maintaining group cohesion and it works. Because Hindus aren’t the owners, editors and writers working in the media, nor do they have an outsized political influence over the country. Even those idiots Jonah Goldberg and Ben Shapiro and a bunch of other Jewish Republicans were talking crap today, when last week they were probably bashing Trump for not immediately declaring that Jerusalem should be undivided. Go look at all the Jewish Republican groups. Look at their positions on immigration. Look at all the money they’re spending and who they’re supporting. You don’t have to be a conspiracy nut to appreciate this reality.
By the way, look at the polls buddy. Huge numbers of Americans are supporting this. PPP even had a poll recently showing that the majority of the Republican electorate support this sort of politics.
