“America First” is dead, goys:

Donald J. Swamp: How the Man Who Promised to Drain the Swamp Got Drained by the Swamp

“There were only three reasons that a rational person might have considered going out to vote for Donald J Swamp. The first was that he wasn’t the psychopath, Hillary Clinton. The second was that he looked to be the least likely of all the candidates to start a war with Russia and therefore WWIII. And the third was that he said he was going to “drain the swamp”. They were always very thin reasons. As I wrote back here and here …

And so it has proved. Despite being elected on promises of discontinuing America’s heinous policies of regime change and fighting hegemonic wars in countries thousands of miles from its borders, Mr Swamp has now broken all of these promises. It is not yet clear whether these promises were always hollow, or whether he has simply caved in to enormous pressure from the neo-Trotskyist Deep State (laughably known as neo-“conservative” (what do they conserve?)). …”

Trump Tomahawks Trumpism

“President Donald Trump has launched an attack on a Syrian air base in retaliation for the alleged sarin gas attack supposedly carried out by Bashar al-Assad’s government on Islamist rebels in Idlib. The irony is this contradicts every statement he ever made about Syria in the presidential campaign. Furthermore, this attack takes place barely 72 hours after the alleged incident, with no clear evidence that Assad was responsible.

In ordering this strike – more than 50 missiles launched by US ships in the Mediterranean Sea – Trump has blown up a basic tenet of Trumpism to smithereens.

One of my vivid memories of the 2016 campaign is the look on Bill O’Reilly’s face when Donald Trump answered his question about intervening militarily in Syria and the Russian role in that country …”

Pentagon Gave Israel Front Row Seats to US Missile Strikes in Syria

“Israel was given VIP treatment while Trump pounded Syria with overpriced missiles, according to Israel’s intelligence minister.

Yisrael Katz, Israel’s intelligence minister and a member of the Cabinet’s defense forum, said in a Friday interview that US defense officials “updated Israel in real time” about the strike, according to the Jewish Telegraph Agency. …

On Friday, Katz also said that Trump’s $100 million fireworks display, which murdered at least 6 Syrians, “has restored America’s regional leadership in a big way in the Middle East.” …

In other words: The US has finally restored its status as a much-beloved “regional leader” in the Middle East.
We hope Israel enjoyed the show.”

Donald Trump carried out Syria missile strike ‘after being convinced by daughter Ivanka’

“Trump has long opposed military intervention in Syria – both as a private citizen when he criticised Obama’s intervention in the region, and as President.

But the Republican firebrand is believed to have made his dramatic U-turn after being convinced by his daughter Ivanka’s impassioned response to the Assad regime’s use of chemical weapons on Tuesday.

A source close to the first family said: “Increasingly, Ivanka is having more and more influence over her father. …”

Donald Trump Congratulates America on Twitter for Spending $100 Million to Murder 6 Syrians

“$100 million to murder six Syrians and destroy nine airplanes from the 1970s.
(By the way: According to reports, the number is probably closer to ten murdered Syrians — 6 soldiers and 4 civilians — but we’ll be conservative.)

Please clap. …”

The media loved Trump’s show of military might. Are we really doing this again?

“The cruise missiles struck, and many in the mainstream media fawned.

“I think Donald Trump became president of the United States last night,” declared Fareed Zakaria on CNN, after the firing of 59 missiles at a Syrian military airfield late Thursday night. (His words sounded familiar, since CNN’s Van Jones made a nearly identical pronouncement after Trump’s first address to Congress.)

“On Syria attack, Trump’s heart came first,” read a New York Times headline.
“President Trump has done the right thing and I salute him for it,” wrote the Wall Street Journal’s Bret Stephens — a frequent Trump critic and Pulitzer Prize-winning conservative columnist. He added: “Now destroy the Assad regime for good.” …”

  1. No problem getting trillions for another regime change, “freedom and democracy” war.
Scratching the bottom of the money jar to build The Wall.
We’ll soon know beyond a shadow of a doubt were Trump’s priorities really lie.
