Scandal-Ridden Scalawag Robert Bentley is Jailed & Resigns

Alabama’s disgraced former Governor Robert Bentley (R) has resigned after being jailed for using State resources to cover up a sex scandal. ABC News reports:

Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley has resigned following allegations that he used state resources to cover up an affair he was having with one of his top aides.

Bentley, 74, was booked into a Montgomery County Jail Monday on charges of failing to file a major contribution report and knowingly converting campaign contributions to personal use, according to booking information on the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office website.

It is worth looking back at this man’s record as he is forced to step down. Surely, Alabamians will remember his traitorous actions in the summer of 2015.

NBC reminds us that Turncoat Bentley spat upon the heritage and people of his State when a little bit of Leftist pressure was applied:

Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley ordered the four Confederate flags on the state Capitol grounds in Montgomery to be taken down Wednesday morning, NBC News has learned.

…Bentley told AL.com that his decision came, in part, as a response to the Charleston massacre as well as to avoid drawn-out political fights over the flag.

“This is the right thing to do. We are facing some major issues in this state regarding the budget and other matters that we need to deal with,” Bentley said. “This had the potential to become a major distraction as we go forward. I have taxes to raise, we have work to do. And it was my decision that the flag needed to come down.”

So the awful traitor Bentley is gone. He went out as a criminal, a traitor to his wife as well as the Southern people. He will hopefully be remembered with all due scorn for the scumbag which he is.

  1. This is the guy who AFTER he was elected said that he was Jewish or his background was Jewish can’t remember which.. Didn’t think it would matter.

I wasn’t for him or the lottery but Don Siegelman got really ripped off and jailed for less. I think what they did to him was a disgrace. He got seven years in the Federal penitentiary for giving a UNPAID State commission seat to someone who raised money for him. That’s the craziest thing I ever heard. Why wouldn’t you give seats to the guys that fund your campaign? Not only that, he had been in the same seat earlier under Republican administrations. That’s just the way things are done. If they applied the same terms to all the politicians in the US there would be no politicians. They’d all be in jail. Remember I’m not his supporter or anything like that but after many years reflection I surmise that the reason he was jailed was he was honest. I bet he wasn’t on THEIR take so they had to get rid of him.

Our country has some major corruption in it. In some ways we’re worse than a third world country as they have legalized corruption.

Look at the Wikipedia article on his prosecution. Carl Rove and Bush were complete criminals.

  2. My impression of his is from a distance – up here in the Northern Confederacy.

    And that was ? …

Getting elected on a Christian values campaign, then down with our flag at the state capital – to cowtow to international business pressure –

And then there was the shaming of his wife, of many years, by talkin’ trash to his secretary on the phone, and god only knows what else.

Another New England Yankee appointed Governor for Alabama, who, by the way, ought make a good husband for another – Nikki Haley.

  3. This situation highlights an important, if not the most important fact. We need a Southern Nationalist/Populist Party. And every Southern governor and state legislator a loyal member in good standing.

  4. @James Owen…

I totally agree. Mr Cushman has been speaking of this for years, but, apparently, we are, as of yet, unable to get her goin’.

Until then, I regard The League of The South as THE Southern Party, though, even after then, it will remain esteemed.

  5. What goes between this man’s wife and him is his business.

That said, dropping our flags is a hangable offence, if you ask me.

  6. What do we know about the Lt Governor? I know she’s a women… Is she sane? Or is this a “anyone is better than Bentley” moment?

  7. From the Huffington Post commentary on an article about this very subject.

“No need to worry Alabama – rest assured that the good people will continue to vote against their interest to preserve apathy and ignorance.”

The “voting against their interest” cliché. Ever notice that the supposed interests, as defined by Leftists, of the people of Red states seem to coincide with the Leftist’s own interests?

  8. They think it is in our interest to bring in all the third world criminals while taking our self defense.

  9. Look at him. Appearances are everything! He looks so, so weak. That is not my definition of a man. Were Alabamians celebrating some sort of sports team win when they deliriously elected him? And, there he continued to sit, even after defiling the state by removing your most famous ambassador of the Southern spirit.

We have got to figure out a more effective way of being effective.

“Geopoliticians have said for years that America was running down. Everything that our nation has achieved had been done at the cost of tremendous outpourings of energy and instinctive intelligence. There has been much native greed and cruelty also, the merciless gouging of immigrant workers, the mass slaughters of the Civil War and the systematic destruction of America’s only native culture, the Greek revival gentility of the South. These are dark chapters in America’s history.”

When we really look at it, the Governments of the 11 seceded states plus the military government of Missouri were all made to pass new Constitutions following the war thus making every government illegal. Only Kentucky’s government in theory remained in place as it was still governed under it’s 1850 Constitution until 1891. The Governor of Missouri was forced out of office at bayonet point, while the Governor of Kentucky was forced to resign. Thus two elections were voided. The separation of Virginia and West Virginia was probably the only thing that actually worked out in the long run. Whats odd is even when Confederates and Democrats took power in W. Va in the 1870’s and wrote a new constitution all of them to a man refused to reunite with Virginia.

If you really want to look at it, every state’s present government was established under bayonet rule against the will of the people, Kentucky being the exception where it’s government was kept in place by bayonets. All of them are illegal.

Maryland isn’t written about here, that’s another subject for another post

Technically and I say technically because i am not a law student, as the present governments of the 11 fully seceded states plus Missouri and Kentucky are ILLEGITIMATE, the State Constitutions present in 1861 are still in effect. Most Confederate States passed new constitutions in 1861 usually only removing UNITED STATES and replacing it with Confederate States. If this is the case, dual Constitutional state governments could in a sense be established.

The guy who put up the website csagov.org is of the opinion that under international law the Confederacy is still a legal entity, just that its government offices are unstaffed. There was no legal surrender.

Dear Mr. Owen, it’s a characterstick of all scions of the Jew England establishment, either North or South, that they believe that anyone who is not with them, ‘must be against their own interests’.

In such a case, we must agree with them, and tell them that we are devoted to destroying everything in the South, who would dare vote and advocate in ‘our interest’.

    Works for me.

Yes, Mr. Jenkins – they are all illegal, and ought be hung by the neck until dead; though, our brethren have lost the twine with which to fashion a rope.

Thank you for knowing the history, our history, and for not giving an inch.

THE reason he got elected was a very, very strong stance on illegal immigrants. He was low in the poles until he took this position. When he did he shot up like a rocket and won. I think most people reason that whatever our problems getting rid of the invasion force is this biggest. So they will vote for damn near anyone who will stop the invasion. In fact until the courts stopped him he started cracking down on the illegal aliens and a lot left the State.
