I remember John Kyl and don’t recall being too impressed with him:
Former U.S. Sen. Jon Kyl will be John McCain's successor in the U.S. Senate https://t.co/UqblPefNIN Makes sense if the goal is to leave a level playing field for the 2020 special election, since Kyl would be unlikely to run himself.

Sen. Kyl has a career "B" on his @NumbersUSA immigration grade card: https://t.co/moCjIJ11Gz https://t.co/HQtnchCbQ7

Meh.
He is an establishment guy who will vote to confirm Kavanaugh and the rest of President Trump’s judicial nominees. This is only for two years. It beats having Doug Jones in the Senate. The best thing I can say about Jon Kyl is that he isn’t John McCain or Jeff Flake tier bad.
It could have been a lot worse.
Miss Denise is absolutely right. In fact, Senator Kyl is a considerable short-term upgrade over Senator McCain – praise The Good Lord!
Not a terrible choice. At least he isn’t going to actively advocate war andopen borders as McCain would have while counter-signaling everything Trump does.
Miss Denise is absolutely right, here!
In fact, not only could it have been ‘a lot worse’, Senator Kyl is a vast short term improvement over Senator McCain!
A cuck is a cuck is a cuck is a…….
Kyl was the best Senate pick possible from McCain protege Doug Ducey.
