More than anything else, he was elected to build the wall and stem the flow of illegal aliens into the United States. In FY 2019, more illegal aliens crossed the border than in any year of the Obama presidency. Those caravans kept coming long after the 2018 midterms were over.

As we recently learned, it is not entirely his fault. The president originally wanted an electrified wall with a moat filled with alligators. He wanted to completely shut down the border and shoot illegal aliens in the legs. He was talked out of it and repeatedly blocked by his staff. They are doing the same thing with his foreign policy this morning.
The sheer number of illegal aliens crossing the border has declined since May. Kirstjen Nielsen was fired and DHS was purged. Blompf has had to deal with sabotage from within his own administration by conservatives, the federal courts, cuckservatives like Jeff Flake in Congress, the Democrats, Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala and the cartels.
There are lots of actors wrestling for control over our immigration policy. They have more power than the president of the United States. So what he has delivered as he heads into the 2020 election is an absolute mess. He has put Jared Kushner in charge of it too.
Am I happy with this result? NO …
Could it be worse? Absolutely …
Is it going to get better? Who knows at this point?
