The 7 Ages of America: The Age of Lincoln

In the first video, we saw that the Federalists were an Eastern party, an elitist party that supported the Alien and Sedition Acts, whose press demonized Thomas Jefferson and whose base of support was the business community, professionals and the upper class and middle class.

In the second video, we saw the Whig Party was also an Eastern party, a corrupt and elitist party, whose press demonized Andrew Jackson whom he blamed for the early death of his wife and whose base of support was the business community, professionals and the upper class and middle class.

In this video, we see that the Republican Party was an Eastern party, a corrupt and elitist party, whose press demonized the “Slave Power” and whose base of support was the business community, railroad corporations, professionals, utopian social reformers and the Northern upper class and middle class.

  1. All I can think of, when I think of President Lincoln, is that he set in motion the Federalism run amok United States that I abhor.

Moreover, in his practice of blockading The South, and, thus, effectively starving untold numbers of women, children, and elderly men, (not to mention deprive of medical supply) I see him as the forerunner of those presidents who would later carpet-bomb, drone-whack, sanction, and regime-change the citizens of many nations around the world.

To put it clearer : if President Lincoln had been one of the heads of the German Government, in the National Socialist Era, they would have hung him at Nürnberg, and then shown his dangling maskt corpse to schoolchildren as a warning to all future tyrants!

Surely the moral of the 16th president of the New England Yankee United States of America is that life is mostly a matter of context and label…

  2. The Confederacy was already a nation when the War Between the States was fought. They had a name, a capital, a president, an army, and their own currency. They were recognized by several European nations as a potential trading partner. Europe had it’s eye on Confederate cotton, and it’s really too bad that at least one nation didn’t help them out. I would have thought England or France would have stepped in.
Jefferson Davis was a great man.

Too many people think the “Civil War” was fought over slavery, since that’s what is taught in schools. “Civil” implies the war was within one nation, when in fact, the South had already seceded before the war.

If some hot head in Sumter hadn’t started it…a war that should have been avoided.

    • Every political party essentially represents the interests of the Yankee elite. Not anybody else. Especially those of us who live in the unfashionable places of the formerly United States®.

        • Tom DiLorenzo wrote two revisionist books about Lincoln which are worth reading. He also wrote many articles are Lew Rockwell.com which are highly critical of Lincoln,
