Biden ratings down — both overall and handling troop removal, plus qualities like competence/effectiveness
But public distinguishing between idea of withdrawal and its handling

Support for withdrawal itself down 14 pts since April; those against it now say it's because situation wasn't handled well more so than because troops should stay

Biden marks on *handling* troop removal down since last month and now negative, with mainly Democrats approving

Biden takes bigger hits among independents — gave him positive marks in July but now mostly disapprove of how he's handling withdrawal and job overall

Also see decline in Biden descriptors like competence, focus, and effectiveness — each at least slightly net negative now

All that said, Americans place more responsibility for the Taliban takeover on Afghanistan army and toppled government than on Biden
— Kabir Khanna (@kabir_here) August 22, 2021
This goes hand in hand with larger desire to withdraw — those who place a lot of blame on Afghan army are especially likely to want U.S. out

Widespread and cross-party agreement that:

Way U.S. removed troops has gone badly
U.S. not doing enough to help civilians get out
U.S. should help those Afghans who helped U.S. (did intelligence or translation work)
Two thirds say no clear evacuation plan for U.S. civilians

The withdrawal from Afghanistan was bad optics.
Do you want to stay there forever though? Not really.
Do you mostly blame Joe Biden for the withdrawal though? Not really.
Who exactly is “blaming Trump”? would like to get a breakdown on that deflection. Trump might have promised a withdrawal but he probably never intended to follow through on that pledge. Biden did get this one right. Though I’d like to know why he followed through.
I think this blatant, public display of American Weakness is affecting all those goofy white women who took the unprecedented peace and prosperity of the post war era for granted.
Biden’s #s are down because the braindead mouthbreathers(especially Boomers) that watch the (((MSM))) have been bombarded by anti-Withdrawal news by the ZioNeoConMIC propaganda machine for the past week – in 6 weeks this will all be forgotten about.
Except for the herds of new wogs sprinkled throughout the land.
It wasn’t really bad optics compared to what it could have been. It was one of the most peaceful revolutions ever. The media is just kvetching because people in Afghanistan don’t want to live in a gay liberal strip mall. Even in the USA, most people don’t want what White/Jew elites are selling, so why do they expect it to go over in Afghanistan?
It’s horrifying that so many people don’t think we should leave. Those people are mostly white people too. The country is less than sixty percent white, so the 30% or so who don’t want to end the war is probably around half of white people. White people are ultimately the problem with this country.
If Joe Biden actually holds the line and does what he says he is going to do, I will give him credit. Even though I despise current American politics, I can only give credit when it’s due.
Lindsey Graham wants to send children into battle all for the American Empire to promote homosexuality, feminism, and every degenerate movement under the sun. He is a shameful excuse for a senator and nothing but a disgrace.
He wants to replace White Southerners with brown refugees. He is a carpetbagger.
