I know it is true from personal experience.
We saw this in Charlottesville when Antifa showed up and engaged in violence, a federal court order ceased to matter, the police stood aside and deliberately allowed chaos to erupt and the DOJ and FBI launched a witch hunt against the “far right.” The ACLU repudiated everything it claimed to believe in for nearly a century. In theory, all citizens have the same constitutional rights and civil liberties, but we saw the beginning of the end of that in Berkeley, Portland and Charlottesville in 2017.
If all this is true and we really are this divided and it has gotten this bad, then the conclusion that I have drawn from this is that we have irreconcilable differences which are growing by the day and that there will be an inevitable reckoning in which one side or the other will triumph. It is either that or the Union will be dissolved and there will be a parting of ways. The only question is how this divide will be resolved.

Woke Supremacy seems to be too embedded into the national DNA to be turned back by the scattered rearguard actions of folks like Weiss. It’s in law thanks to the Civil Rights Act, Title IX, “disparate impact” etc. and in national ethos thanks to the postwar Proposition Nation – Diversity is our Strength stuff, along with academic Critical Theory which was honed for decades as a tool to deconstruct White racial consciousness, culture, and society.
