Poll: No Let Up In Biden Polling Doldrums

Joe Biden isn’t getting any credit for the infrastructure bill.

FOX News:

President Biden‘s standing with Americans remains in negative territory heading into the final few weeks of 2021.

The president stands at 43% approval and 51% disapproval in a NPR/Marist national survey released on Thursday. A day earlier, a national poll from Monmouth University indicated a 40% approval and a 50% disapproval. Both surveys were conducted in recent days. …

While Biden’s numbers remain in the red, most surveys suggest that his domestic agenda is still popular. …”

Joe Biden isn’t getting any credit for the child tax credit either.

New York Post:

“More than three-quarters of Americans say the $1,400 checks doled out earlier this year as part of President Biden’s COVID-19 relief plan only helped them out a little bit or not at all, a new poll has found.

According to the NPR/Marist survey published Thursday, 45 percent of US adults said the money “helped a little,” while 32 percent said they were “not helped at all.” Just 21 percent of respondents said they were “helped a lot” by the stimulus.

While the Biden administration touted the payments as a way to boost the American economy while COVID vaccinations ramped up, just 17 percent of respondents said they felt Biden was most responsible for ensuring the stimulus plan was approved. …”

NPR:

“MARY LOUISE KELLY, HOST:

Democrats say programs like stimulus checks and the new monthly child tax credit payments are proof that their party can deliver real benefits for all Americans. They also say President Biden’s Build Back Better bill will do even more down the road. But a new NPR/Marist poll shows that most voters are skeptical of the party’s plans, and few feel the existing programs help them. …

SNELL: But as Democrats struggle to pass Biden’s Build Back Better bill, which includes child care funding, universal pre-K and expanded coverage under Medicare and Medicaid, polls show waning support for that agenda. Just 42% of people surveyed said the bill would help people like them. While a majority of Democrats – 69% – say the policies would help them, fewer than 4 in 10 independents and less than 20% of Republicans agree. Democrats have been predicting this kind of gap.

HAKEEM JEFFRIES: We’re going to have to message, persuade and communicate in headlines. …

SNELL: NPR’s latest poll shows Biden’s approval remains at 42% – his lowest rating since he took office.

Moral of the story: you can do things that are difficult and popular and which help people, but you don’t get credit for it because so many people still hate libtards for cultural reasons.

  1. I still don’t know if the democrats are being more reckless because they think they can use ole’ senile Joe as a scapegoat? Or if they would have done this regardless? Do they think Joe can play bad cop, and then once they’ve got their victim beaten down enough send in “good cop” for the rescue? Will the public fall for it? Or will the democratic brand stay toxic for quite some time because of what people have experienced over the last year? A lot of white women are easily fooled, will they go back to their abuser?

    • A lot of white men voted for him, too. Some comments on this site make it like all white men are true conservatives, and all white women are feminist race-mixers. Personally, I’ve met MORE liberal Boomer men, than women, who are either horribly NAIVE or liberalized.

        • @Ron – Are you ?? Is that supposed to be the kill-shot that wipes out the truth of @Pilot’s comment?? If everything is the fault of Jews and White women, then you men are really weak and pathetic who are unable to effective wield power.

Do you have to be nonwhite to get that?

    • “Do you have to be nonwhite to get that?”
^^ Excellent question. I would say in practice, if not in black-letter policy, you do. Most of these seemingly marvelous sounding programs, especially those in the so-called Green New Deal, are designed to benefit non-Whites.

  3. The current POTUS is just another expendable puppet figurehead of the “homeland” of the global capitalist empire. All the Presidents have served the system. It doesn’t matter what the people think, or who wins the (s)elections.
