    Jimmy Carter restored Jefferson Davises citizenship in a move to let bygones be bygones so Cheney’s analogy doesn’t make much sense to me

    Also, so what if the Union fell? Since the US Constitution was out in France has had five different Republics!

    This motion that the Union has to exist into perpututy is crazy and might even be a violation of Romans 13.

    • The author of the blog was onto something when he said America is just like France with multiple republics but people lie about this reality. The second republic was founded by Lincoln and the third republic by FDR. Both periods are radically different than life before hand. What is clear is that the American system is quite flawed in that it was easily subverted.

      How do you mean that? Romans 13 seems to suggest that all government is inherently good, instituted by God; and that any rebellion against any existing government is wrong; and that all rebels, as well as tax scoflaws, will be justly punished by the government. But some Old Testament prophets and New Testament writers present an entirely different or balanced view of evil government.

        She was repudiated, bigly as Herr Trump would say. Apparently, Liz didn’t get the message or more likely, she is angling for a lucrative spot in the Lügenpresse which will be coming her way now. They never leave the Washington D.C. area even when they lose an election badly as Liz did here.

        If one were to take a map of the Washington D.C. area, draw a circle originating at the Capitol and extending out about 50 miles, that area would be the place 99% of the members of Congress actually represent. That is their home district no matter what state they nominally come from. Liz will just continue representing her people from her lucrative perch in the Lügenpresse without having to make those pesky trips back to Wyoming one week a year.

        That is where the MIC has their offices to bribe the scumbags in Congress for more war. That is the area, particularly northern VA where the lobbyists and other bottom feeders have congregated. That is where the money lives which drives politics. Money is the essence of the wonderful “democracy” we enjoy now, a system based upon bribery and extortion, as it wrecks what is left of the country.

      • 12AX7, I am not saying she is a coalburner at all, what I am saying is, I think she and Fredrick douglass, share a striking resemblance, too each other, probably in more way’s than one, I hope she runs, a lincolnite elizabeth warren type of canidate, certified hagbag……..if palin makes it too congress, greene, broebert, palin hit squad, since neither party offers much in the way of substance, we might as well get all the drama we can ………….,
