Ulbricht spent over 11 years in prison and was set to spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Trump has spent the last five days demonstrating to every corner of the Right from the tech bros to nativists to now libertarians that it is better to be part of a winning coalition.
“In December 2023, Angela McArdle, the chair of the Libertarian Party, flew to Mar-a-Lago to meet with Donald J. Trump.
Mr. Trump wanted to know how to win over libertarian voters, a constituency he thought could help him reclaim the presidency, Ms. McArdle said in an interview. She had an answer: Free Ross Ulbricht, a Bitcoin pioneer who was sentenced to life in prison in 2015 for creating Silk Road, the world’s largest online drug marketplace. Mr. Ulbricht was regarded as a libertarian hero for building an illegal market outside the government’s reach.
“I love freeing people,” Mr. Trump said, according to Ms. McArdle. Five months later, she hosted him at the Libertarian Party’s national convention, where he announced onstage that, if elected to the presidency, he would release Mr. Ulbricht.
On Tuesday, the day after his inauguration, Mr. Trump made good on that promise. He called Mr. Ulbricht’s mother, Lyn Ulbricht, to personally tell her that he had granted a full pardon to her son, who is now 40. In a post on Truth Social, Mr. Trump said the decision was “in honor of her and the Libertarian Movement, which supported me so strongly. …”
This isn’t complicated.
Trump needed marginal libertarian voters to win in 2024 and he promised them he would do this.
Looks like Chris Cantwell’s site has been taken down or he finally gave up on his mostly ignored podcast. Unfortunately over the past year it seemed he had given up on himself and his show. I think his prison experience broke his will. Not sure if he went back to the bottle, but I’m assuming so. I’ve heard from others that he is a sloppy drunk and when drinking he loses himself and becomes a filthy degenerate. Hopefully he gets back on the wagon soon and pulls himself together again.
He’s been talking about winding down the Radical Agenda for a while and doing something else (he streams on Odysee). The open phone call in format is too easily abused and its not a good approach.
Cantwell was the best podcaster we had by a country mile, and the entire weight of the government landed on him. In addition to his many tactical mistakes getting involved with the dissident right to begin with, and his struggles with addiction (which I have personal experience with) he has had difficulty getting his feet back under him.
I hope he wipes the slate clean and starts a new show on Rumble where he can have a better reach and no censorship. He needs to avoid the dissident right, and the JQ and focus on White advocacy and his signature brand of libertarian identity politics.
I’ve always supported him, and will continue to. He’s a rare talent for radio/broadcast. Just needs to be disciplined in his delivery.
We’ll see what he does.
Why think the worst ?
Let’s hope that it’s something else, like moving hosts or rebuilding the site.
Cantwell is one of the most underappreciated men in this cause. He has both intelligence and dedication, not too common in this task.
It’s a real indictment of WHITES that he doesn’t receive more support.
