I’m very pleased with my 2025 predictions.
My last prediction was “the Jewish Question continues to go mainstream” because Jews are a declining elite. I’m old enough to remember when it was strictly taboo to criticize Jews on the Right.
Today, Tucker Carlson bashes Ben Shapiro for being a Zionist shill. Candace Owens interviews USS Liberty survivors. The Hodge Twins have on David Duke. Matt Walsh endorses cutting off aid to Israel on Ben Shapiro’s own platform. The ADL’s advertiser boycott of X failed. Public opinion has turned sharply against Israel with only 8% of Democrats and 42% of Republicans agreeing with unconditional support for Israel. 41% of Republicans now support conditioning aid to Israel on keeping the ceasefire. The wildly unpopular TikTok ban which was pushed through Congress was a sign of weakness.
As for Donald Trump, he laments that Israel no longer controls Congress like it used to, and he acted on that belief by forcing the Gaza ceasefire deal on Netanyahu that drove Ben-Gvir out of the Israeli government. Tellingly, no one except Tom Cotton even grumbled about the end of the war.
Now that is progress I like to see. Growing up in rural Alabama in the 1970s I was exposed to a lot of Christian Zionism. It warped my understanding for decades. Only after reading Whitaker Chambers’ book, “Witness” and noticing the names and having access to the internet for research did I finally free myself of that cult.
