I’m just happy to be proven right.
I predicted that Trump would win the 2024 election. I predicted that his Cabinet appointees would be confirmed and that he would finish remaking the GOP in his image.
The fact that the elderly Mitch McConnell was the only Senate Republican who dared to defy Trump on Gabbard and RFK Jr. is the definitive proof that we are in a new era. I’ve watched the old “True Con” Republican establishment fade over the last several election cycles since 2016.
The party is whatever Trump commands it to be now. This is why it was incredibly stupid to blow so many winnable Senate races in 2022 and 2024. If a few of those races had gone the other way, we could have had a filibuster proof Senate majority and the ability to pass any type of legislation.
Unfortunately, activists spent years spreading dumb narratives all over the internet about how great it would be for Kamala Harris to be president. Losing is a self fulfilling prophecy for them.

A filibuster proof Senate majority would have been nice, but it turns out it may not be necessary. Have you seen Vox Day’s latest? He links to a very interesting piece suggesting the TRO’s the Dems’ lawyers have thrown up to stop Trump’s EO’s “overriding Congress” was a trap and that the plan all along has been to defund & eviscerate the Deep State through Congress via a budget reconciliation bill (which requires simple majority to pass). Fun times ahead.

The senate losses since 2016 can generally be laid at McConnells feet, with a few just being terrible candidates, which is just gonna happen sometimes.
In todays press brief from the oval office Trump talked about McConnell a bit. He didn’t have anything nice to say lol. McConnell is finally done I think. He’ll be out after this term.
This is big news for me here in KY. We need another decent senator.
