I have mixed feelings about this.
Eugenics is one of the few issues where I have changed my mind.
In my youth, I was very supportive of eugenics and bought a bunch of books about the subject. This was long before I was married and had my own children and became a Christian. I remain supportive of positive eugenics, which is compatible with Christianity, and which is just encouraging people of good stock to be more mindful when choosing their mates and encouraging them to have larger families.
You could even say that I still support negative eugenics to some degree. I think we should restore anti-miscegenation laws and the taboo on race mixing. I think our immigration laws should be much more selective. We used to have immigration laws that screened out people with hereditary diseases, with low-IQs and who come from undesirable parts of the Third World and even Europe. We ought to change the tax code to discourage barren spinsters and perpetual bachelors. The welfare state, which puts the burden of taxation on the fit while subsidizing the unfit, is another area that ought to be reformed.
We have “NS” to thank for discrediting the whole concept of eugenics and the baby being thrown out with the bathwater. I’m referring to things like the T4 program and euthanasia, the Lebensborn program, genocide (whether or not the Holocaust happened is irrelevant because most people believe it did and that had major consequences), Nazi racial theories about the inferiority of Slavs, etc. In America, we also jumped the gun in the early days of genetics and went a little crazy with sterilizing too many poor people who were labeled feebleminded morons. This stoked a huge backlash against negative eugenics.
I’m also uneasy with modern negative eugenics. I don’t like IVF and embryo selection. I find the idea of creating children out of stem cells horrifying. I’m also skeptical of looking at our children like yields of corn or domesticated farm animals. Do we also really want to further torture the parents and children who compete to get into the best schools? Should childhood be a rat race about building a resume? Are we going to up the ante by having the children themselves be engineered in the test tube? Do we want to live in a culture where you are judged as having failed at life in the embryonic stage of development?
My view is of this is that I will settle for immigration restriction, restoring anti-miscegenation laws, restoring harmony between the sexes, reducing the number of spinsters and incels and encouraging larger White families. Right now, too many White people are failing to even have children, and non-Whites are exploding in numbers all around this. We don’t have the time to think about a handful of designer babies who will certainly be too few in number to reverse our demographic decline.
Note: The thawing of the taboo on eugenics is another example of how we in a period of rapid cultural change.

You are missing a logical step in your presumption. You admit before WWII, there were no taboos on these questions. Only after WWII. You also admit elsewhere we had programs in the Western allies justifying our own kind of racialism, nationalism, and eugenics. So, when and how did these become associated with NS?
The fact is, it didn’t become associated with NS until almost a generation after WWII. That somehow, the war became retconned to justify anti-racialism, anti-nationalism, and eugenicphobia much later after the war. You could probably talk to most people who were born before 1965 and realize they were taught to support some of the eugenics programs.
Therefore, this anti-racism, anti-nationalism, anti-eugenics, is really a product of the post 1965 era and not the post wwii era. I am old enough to remember when as a young child aspects of eugenics were taught to us in public and private school so it didn’t just become verboten all of a sudden at 1965 either. I saw it too. This is one of Trump’s off the cuff remarks regarding some detail of a policy in situ, which he often makes and whom drives his messaging team mad. Trump, does appear to say those categories of illegal alien workers are not prioritized for deportations. But, he also said they will have to leave suggesting they will ultimately be deported if they don’t leave. If they leave correctly they can come back correctly. This all seems to indicate a policy in creation regarding how to remove illegal aliens who are not criminal felons on top of their illegal alien status.
This is where the devil is in the details. This is where the left can muddy the policy so much as to allow the courts to intervene on behalf of the illegals. Trump made a fatal mistake in trying to I.C.E. his way out of our invasion. Only national mobilization, military force and martial law can get us out of this predicament. Monkeying around with these little civil and law enforcement style policy changes ensures Trump will accomplish little more than Obama regarding the illegal alien problem. Illegal immigration has never been lower in my lifetime. It is true that deportations are lackluster, but Trump inherited ICE in its current state from Biden. It is up to Congress to fix the problem. They don’t want to solve the problem because there is nothing in it for them.
Eugenics is a tricky concept, with no easy answer. While it is obvious that disgusting practices such as race mixing should be outlawed, as it violates God’s command to honor your fathers and mothers (always properly understood as your entire ancestry), the notion of restricting the blessings of family to only the “best” in IQ, etc, seem ghoulish and demonic to me.

They also were some stipulating a kind of paleo-nationalist, paleo-natalist, paleo-eugenic laws on there rulers, saying foreign princes could not become rulers. Eugencis gets a bad name because the atheists, socialists, agnostics, and biological determinists, tyrants one and all, thought of using the state to coerce and manage the populations fecundity beyond all previous excepted norms of morality and political liberty. WWII is often cited as the defeat of these barbarians, cuz Nazis smashed or something. But, in fact, aspects, if not most aspects of Nazi eugenics were practiced by the Western allies. They continued to practiced up until the 1970s in some areas. So, eugenicphobia is really a recent development. Ironically, still when discussing it, they can’t talk about it without talking about the real underlining societal problems which encouraged the policy to begin with.

Given the history of private, feudal, noble, and even contemporary practices of eugenics, how come it is so verboten? This seems less a reaction to Nazi eugenics and WWII, than a retconning of WWII mythos long after it occurred to justify a kind of libertarian left outlook on the world. Trying to outargue this outlook cuz Nazis good actually, is beyond stupid. The fact is many programs of Western Allies’ eugenics were just plain wrong. They were rooted in their own form of tyranny which was shared with the Nazis. Unlike the Nazis they never made it a state religion thoigh. In the post cold War era most of Western leaders realized their mistake and returned to a more liberal outlook on rights. However, this doesn’t make the libertarian left correct. Somewhere in the middle is the right approach, the Christian approach.

Suppose those 200 iq kids are sterile, sociopaths, physically degenerate or a myriad of other defects. There are just too many unknown factors to micromanage for singular attributes. Presently, our knowledge is too limited, we need to breed for overall good health and minds until our science is refined enough to amplify individual traits.
