We have no real democracy (most politicians are about as popular as a glass of beer at 9am on new year’s day), and that the West, particularly the US, has it’s snout in too many overseas follies. What goes on in China internally? Well I don’t live there, so can’t be expected to really know, but we lost a lot of manufacturing capacity in the period from the 1980’s to the 2010’s to China, here in Australia. Jewish activists were disproportionately represented among white anti-apartheid activists-14 of the 23 whites charged in the 1956 Treason Trial were Jewish. While the mainstream Jewish community was largely cautious or neutral, these individuals and many unsung others took significant risks and made lasting contributions to ending apartheid.

As a young man, I worked in a large university hospital (installing and repairing medical equipment). From time to time I also had to work in institutes called anatomy, pathology or forensic medicine.
