The polling on Operation Midnight Boomer is a disaster on at least five levels:
1. 94% of MAGA Republicans support the Iran strikes for Israel which shows that the MAGA base supports Israel and is not trending in an antiwar, non-interventionist, isolationist direction.
2. The majority of Americans and the rest of the country do not support the strikes. Reuters has 36% approve. CNN has 44% approve. CBS News has 44% approve. CBS News has support for the strikes at 85% among Republicans, but only at 13% among Democrats and 36% of Independents. Thus, if you support non-intervention in the Middle East, you should gravitate toward Democrats.
3. In spite of the disastrous polling, which resonated only with the Republican base that watches FOX News, Trump thinks the strikes are a hit and is posting “Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran videos” on Truth Social which echoes one of the worst moments of the 2008 campaign.
4. The lesson that Israel has taken away from this is that escalation works – in Gaza, in Syria, in Lebanon and now in Iran – and that Trump can be maneuvered into taking military action for Israel. Please keep in mind that Israel has violated countless “ceasefires” including the two negotiated by Trump. Israel has every incentive to resume the war and drag us into it and will be agitating now to do it.
5. The MIGA base is being conditioned to support wars in the Middle East for Israel and to shout down and dismiss anyone who objects to American involvement as a “Panican.”
6. Meanwhile, Trump is giving shout outs to Jeb Bush on Truth Social, and is trying to purge Thomas Massie from his seat in Congress on behalf of Israel and AIPAC.
Note: It is also not even clear that the air strikes destroyed Iran’s nuclear facilities and even worse Iran has announced that it will resume working on its nuclear program.
There are two possible takeaways here:
a- the polls are fake (no idea but wouldnt surprise me, especially when it comes to supporting israel)
b- republicans are certifiable idiots. we’re talking african IQ tier.
Either way, politics are confirmed to be a waste of time. The establishment wants its war, it will get its war and preferably the idiot boomer conservatives will get their hands dirty and send other peoples kids to die. So exciting and fresh, we totally haven’t seen that one before.

False interpretation. It is just that they are loyal to Trump. They might be much less receptive to such a message coming from the mouth of some old guard GOPer.
I think this is largely just expression of your own personal feelings, and not a coldly objective analysis of Trump or the MAGA base. You feel frustrated and humiliated when they call you a “panican” (which btw is a quite brilliant linguistic killshot, which shows that Trump still knows this game), and show that it got under your skin.

The pieces are beginning to come together. Somebody has been dumping money into the independent media encouraging the kind of wild and obnoxious agent provacateurs that have been poisoning the well as it pertains to the JQ. One of the reasons Israel had to pause its war against Iran is because it recently suffered the worst home front damage ever. This is because Israel is running out of ballistic missile interceptors and even the Trump Administration cannot send more. The U.S. Government must keep a bare minimum in a war reserve.
The Standard Missiles the U.S. Navy (and other navies) use, THAAD systems, Patriots, Stingers, air-to-air, air-to-ground missiles etc. all use similar components and production facilities. Increasing production of Navy Standard Missiles takes away from THAAD missile production which also means fewer Patriots and the Israeli reverse engineered copies of these systems. The complex, phased array radars that make these systems work also have long lead times. Ukraine is also demanding more Patriot systems which simply aren’t available.
After forty five years of de-industrialization the U.S. Government doesn’t have the facilities and skilled workers necessary to rapidly increase missile system production. Ironically, it was The Usual Suspects who profited handsomely from the de-industrialization and financialization of the economy during the Reagan, Bush I and Clinton Administrations. It took a long time but this asset stripping back in the 1980s-1990s as well as two Iraq wars and one Afghan war have now caught up with them. The gravely weakened defense industrial base cannot now adequately supply Our Greatest Ally. The geniuses who think up these wars were shocked by how rapidly stocks of sophisticated, expensive and difficult to produce missiles are used up without replacements; they are greedy idiots.
