RIP Zman

Ramzpaul broke the devastating news yesterday evening.

Apparently, the Z Man of The Z Blog who is one of the most influential bloggers in the race realist, paleoconservative, Dissident Right space has died of natural causes. He was a regular at conferences like American Renaissance and Old Glory Club. I saw him speak at Amren two years ago.

If memory serves, Zman’s work first came to my attention in early 2020 when his take on COVID was that it was an overblown flu being weaponized to create a panic and that lots of people who ought to know better were losing their minds. I strongly disagreed with him at the time. As so often happens, I later came to the conclusion that I was wrong and my respect for his level headedness grew in the years that followed. There was a healthy middle ground on COVID between the cranks who denied its existence and the public health extremists who shut down schools and forced kids to wear masks.

When I first ran into Zman in real life at the 2023 Amren Conference, he struck me as looking a bit younger than I thought, which is why the news of his death yesterday at the age of 59 was so startling and why so many people assumed it must be a bad joke. He went out of this life as he lived. He was creating content for his fans and friends with Ramzpaul on Wednesday evening and was posting on X just hours before his death. Zman’s death is a huge loss to our community and his voice will be sorely missed.

Rest in peace, brother.

  1. Omg! That’s horrible news! My blog role just keeps getting shorter and shorter, what with the recent retirement of radioderb. Z looks just as I pictured him! Alas, in the prime of his wit and political maturity. Hey, you guys try to stay in good health, or pretty soon I won’t have much to listen to…?

Z was a one of a kind talent. Perhaps his early demise was related to his burning the candle at both ends like he did. I can’t think of anyone who created such high-quality content on such a daily basis like that. That was truly unique. I think he was the most levelheaded on the Covid issue as well. His style was truly inimitable. He had a unique, catching turn of phrase, and I can’t figure out exactly where his style came from. I think he’s actually better than the other people he claims to be his forefathers, such as Mencken.

    Truly terrible news, and shocking.

  2. Yours truly told you in March 2020 that Covid-19 was a multifaceted scam designed both to enrich certain personages affiliated with TPTB at that time and as a test run of techno-feudalism, with a dash of culling the population, in that present and in the future (via the vax eliminating young female fertility). Andrew Anglin said the same thing, albeit in his risible fashion. Events proved me and Andrew correct, and establishment shills Hunter Wallace, Ron Unz, and Steve Sailer wrong

You may thank me now, along with the Z Man, for bringing realism into the estrogen-soaked hysteria in which you, Unz, and Sailer marinated. I have never forgotten just how hopelessly naive you all were at that time, and the majority of your cogent commenters seem to agree, judging by their dropping out of the OD community over time.

The lesson is it pays to understand the basic human reality that our mortality makes all humans selfish materialists who will take advantage of any opportunity to increase their statutory or contractual salary by abusing their influence, power, or authority. People are criminals, children, or cowards. The number of heroic empathic altruists can be counted on the fingers of a single hand.

As a result, no matter the political or social system in place, or the gender, race, or life philosophy of the commercial, communications, coercive, or authoritative apparatuses in a society, life will suck, then you will die. So, the only fruitful course of action is to live an honest, empathic life among your immediate peers, mitigating the harms emanating from the imperial capital of the Empire of Evil. Trust no one else. NO ONE.

    • Z-man will indeed be missed. He was one of the relatively few to smell that particular rat when the whole COVID operation was launched. Cheetohead, typically, just made it worse with his “warp-spead” BS promoting the vax for his Wall Street pals (and fellow Epstein-listers).

Unz got part of it right – that the original virus was a bio-weapon designed and deployed by the usual suspects in control of the deep state. The odd thing is that he could never connect the many dots leading from the weapon, its deployment and the “cure” an “vaccine” for which it was necessary to redefine the term itself. Also note that the Russian general who discovered all of the bio-weapon labs in “Ukraine” was murdered this past year by the Green Goblin’s hitmen no doubt aided by a lax and complicit Putin regime. The “vaccine” would appear to be the second part of a binary weapon.

  3. I was a regular commenter at his site and a daily reader. His page was an intellectual refuge for free speech with a uniquely educated, intellectual, and informed group of commenters that became a community of dissident thinkers. The grief and the tributes over there are personal. Such spaces are increasingly rare. The commentary at Taki’s site was killed off by paywalling it, Chateau Heartiste was shut down by the tech oligarchs, AmRen is heavily moderated. Anglin has burned himself out with rage; while often perceptive and accurate it can be emotionally childish and lacks the intellectual depth that Z had.

He was truly a giant on the dissident Right, tireless and prolific in his work. Five well-written, incisive columns per week, plus a weekly podcast, X/Twitter commentary, conferences, etc.

As the old saying goes, the flak is heaviest when you are over the target, and the lying filth at the SPLC confirmed that he had the right enemies:

Z’s loss is a great blow to intellectual freedom, free speech, and philosophy for those of us who have become redpilled to the “Conservative, Inc./Israel First” scam.

May God rest his great soul.

  4. Hebrews 11:16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

I don’t think Z Man expressed his faith, or lack thereof, on his podcast or in his writings. Not that I saw. However, he, like all of us, longed for a better place. We fight for a better place here on Earth, and that is an important fight… but those of us who have faith know that a better place has already been prepared for us by the King of Kings… Let’s hope that Z Man knew Christ before his passing. He was a good man.

  5. Even if you live to 115, you’re still here for a very short time compared with how long you’ll be gone for…..so live your life.
I only have three months to live, so care little about most things anymore, other than keeping comfortable and my children’s wellbeing.
Everything starts with good health. If you have that, then everything else in life falls into place. You can run from anything….. except your own body. Genetics rather than lifestyle choices, can determine your destiny sometimes though, as is the case with me.

    • Goose – Thank you for everything you’ve posted – you are one of the best, most consistent here. Reading your news, of 3 months remaining, is devastating. God bless and keep you.

      • Astrid,
Cheers man. I always just gave honest rundowns of how I saw things at the time. I’m sorry if anyone was offended by anything written. Opinions are the result of individual experiences.
I’ve lost a lot of weight and currently weigh around 63kg….light for a 56 year old man.
Anyhow, the movement and life will go on.

        • Goose…your posts have always been among the most candid and realistic, I’ll miss them.

Take the best of care in the time you have remaining, God bless.

      • Late stage pancreatic cancer, so as you can imagine, nobody can help me.
I’ve said to my kids that I’m going to a better place. No more bills, no more colds and flu, no more Monday mornings, etc. It bothers them more than me. I told them to go thru the grieving process……then just get on with your lives.
I’m not up with modern medicine as I’ve rarely needed medical treatment, but hopefully I’ll be going out as high as a kite.
Palliative care here is very good.

    • Dear Goose,

That is terrible news. Do not get up.

Have you done any research in repurposed drugs for fast growing and terminal cancers?

This video with Dr, John Campbell and William Makis MD. Radiologist, Oncologist, and Cancer Researcher gives some hopeful options in treating cancers that were not responding to traditional cancer treatment protocols.

Underneath the video is an index of the topic that these two men discus.

I listened to it, and in my humble opinion the results exceed simple anecdotal evidence. So many people who used these drugs (and sometimes adding methylene blue) has had incredible results. Read some of the comments from patients that used these repurposed drugs, and perhaps you might want to give them a try. Not to be glib, but what do you have to lose?

      You are in my thoughts.

        • @Goose,

          Cheers!

You’re very much welcome. If there is any more information that is relevant that I come across, I’ll post it under this thread.

Thank you for your kind words.

I expect to be wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year in December.

          Stay strong, mate.

          • November,
Cheers mate, but I won’t make it to Christmas or 2026 on current estimates. My wife has been learning to keep on top of bookwork and finances.
I’m now in a hospice to keep it away from my family at home. My wife can’t do the work of expert end of life carers. She’s not up to it.
Thanks everyone for saying you liked my comments. I hope they made you all a slightly improved individual. I will live on in my children.
Life is short. Keep healthy and enjoy every day.

  6. I only found Z several years ago, he was doing a lot of Zirlscience then & I was hooked. Since then his content was a daily highlight & friday podcasts were always looked forward to. I fell asleep listening to the wednsday show with Ramzpaul, the interview with Padrig Martin was a nice surprise& relistend the next morning. I’ve been in shock & disblief since, hopeing it wasn’t true. He is gone far too soon, having only fairly receantly gotten away from lagos. We are so very diminished.

  7. Lifes journey is about finding the truth, in ourselves and in others. God’s glory is revealed through truth and understanding, and that experiencing this glory leads to spiritual enlightenment and transformation.

  8. Covid, what a great time. Getting that close to physical fights every other visit to the grocery store because some dumb scared boomers wanted me and the wife to muzzle our toddlers, which was never going to happen. Just for that, the boomers deserve some medieval torture.
