THE TRUMP EFFECT – Total Border Patrol encounters for the entire month of June 2025 was 6,070. That is less than a single day under Biden. As a matter of fact, the total number of encounters is less than half of a single day under Biden

Looks like legal immigration is staying steady, while illegal immigration is falling. Probably going to be hard to convince many Americans that this is a problem. https://t.co/GDAmNrsq58 pic.twitter.com/Y6vuASiGCo

It is a mixed bag.
I will give it to you straight.
1. The good news is that the Trump administration deserves tremendous credit for stopping the inflow of illegal aliens at the border where border crossings haven’t been this low in decades.
2. The bad news is that deportations are still pathetic and Trump announced during his tour of “Alligator Alcatraz” in Florida that he is giving a de facto amnesty to illegal alien farm workers to appease Big Ag and hotel and restaurant workers to appease the hotel and restaurant industry lobbyists.
3. Legal immigration is essentially unchanged although in fairness to the Trump administration this is the fault of Congress where annual legal immigration levels are set by statute.
4. It is still possible that the Trump administration could achieve “mass deportations” with the ICE funding in the Big Beautiful Bill, but this won’t happen overnight. It will take time to hire and train new ICE agents and to build deportation infrastructure like “Alligator Alcatraz” in all 50 states.
5. Finally, as I explained last night, the ICE funding in the Big Beautiful Bill is just a sweetener for a deeply unpopular GOP tax and spending bill which will throw lots of people off their health insurance to pay for business tax cuts. The GOP will probably lose the House again in the midterms because of this.
Note: There is something in this for both blackpillers and whitepillers to argue over. The same was true of the Iran strike where Trump attacked Iran on behalf of Israel, but stopped short of going all in.
Don’t be allergic to winning just because you only won 75% of what you wanted.
Don’t house them. Put them on buses, boats or planes and get them the hell out of here.
