Mearhseimer does a good job analyzing the Israel Lobby wars in the Middle East and the Ukraine crisis, but he is way off the mark on immigration.
He thinks that immigration will strengthen the USA vis-a-vis China by increasing the population of the USA. Unfortunately, increased diversity will weaken the USA more than increased population will strengthen it. The strength of a state is proportional to the population and economy of the core ethnic group, not the population of the empire as a whole.
That is why Germany, with a population much smaller than the British Empire, was more than a match for the British Empire alone during the world wars. The strength of the British Empire was proportional to the White English-speaking Protestant population of the empire, not the total population.
