Editor’s Note: As usual, I will remind our readers that I am writing about American Neo-Nazism or the mutant “NS” fandom, not historic National Socialism. The situation is like “trans women” who look in the mirror and see themselves as women. These people who claim to be “NS” have developed that self-image in spite of having nothing to do with early 20th century German history. In this case, American society defines National Socialism as taboo and “becoming a Nazi” as the most antisocial thing you can do, so people who are naturally anti-social weirdos seek each other out and identify as “NS.”

I’m still stuck thinking about this comment this morning.

This is deeply wrong.
The truth is that Southern White evangelical Protestants are the MAGA base and Trump has achieved a level of unity among them that dwarfs anything Hitler ever created in Germany. The highest percentage of the vote that the NSDAP ever won before Hitler came to power was only 37%. Even with the pressure to conform in the last contested election, the Nazis only won a mere 44%.
Class politics doesn’t exist in the American South. White evangelical Protestants who attend church on a weekly basis voted over 90% for Trump in the 2024 election. We went through the data and found that around 85% of White evangelical Protestants and anywhere from 60% to 82% of White Southerners voted for Trump. He also had monolithic political support in the White rural South. In the South, he won the White working class, White middle class, White upper class, men, women, etc.
The “Volksgemeinschaft” that Hitler created in Germany was achieved by winning over the Right, forging an alliance with German conservatives and suppressing the opposition. In contrast, Trump easily commands overwhelming, heartfelt and voluntary political support from White Southern Protestants, and public opinion is so lopsided here that the Left barely exists. MAGA is a “volkish” movement that has a level of ethnic and religious cohesion that never existed in Hitler’s Germany. Trump also doesn’t deserve credit for this. Southern politics has always been much more racially driven than German politics.
What is the “NS” Volksgemeinschaft in America in 2025?
You are talking about alienated people on the internet, overwhelmingly single men, scattered across the country who are history nerds, disconnected from their communities, who are posting on online forums, who are being socialized in echo chambers and who are going through an identity crisis. This isn’t anything like a “Volksgemeinschaft.” There are plenty of towns in America in the South and Midwest which are culturally cohesive, deeply rooted, overwhelmingly MAGA. Trump commands the support of a majority of White Americans, a large majority of White Protestants, over half of White Catholics and 20% of his supporters are secular or irreligious. He is in a stronger position with White Americans than Hitler was with Germans in 1933. He is also long past the stage where conservatives are restraining him.
Go to any MAGA rally and you will find young, old and middle aged White people, Christians of all varieties, working class, middle class and upper class White people, rural voters, small town residents, suburbanites, radicalized urbanites, men and women, professionals, MAGA grannies, college graduates and high school drop outs. It has broad appeal because most White Americans support Trump. In contrast, the “NS” Volksgemeinschaft consists of EXACTLY ONE TYPE of White person: single men who are either divorced or incels, who are overwhelmingly pagans or irreligious or childless atheists, who are tiresome monomaniacal cranks who blame all their problems on Jews or Christians or White women, who are completely out of touch with reality and disconnected from everyone around them and usually their own families. They are the people who get worked up and scream at their relatives about the Jews at Thanksgiving.
The online “NS” Volksgemeinschaft can be further broken down into distinct sub types: violent accelerationist cranks, the feds whose job it is to monitor them, criminals, nihilists, schizos, anonymous leftist and non-White trolls pretending to be rightwing, the antisocial edgelords who dress up in costumes and who are there to give a middle finger to society, crypt keepers, paranoid conspiracy theorists, misogynists who hate our women, broke internet clowns monetizing engagement, manic depressive losers who see everything in life through a negative lens, people who hate Christians, the overeducated history and philosophy nerds who are essentially librarians, lots of people who are just naturally hateful, low IQ antisemites who respond to crude propaganda, high IQ antisemites who use the propaganda as a tactic to attract the morons, the sociopaths who celebrated Charlie Kirk’s murder and misanthropes who want normal White people to suffer and who delight in sharing their sentiments. Granted, there are some other people who are idealistic, driven by nostalgia and who just identify with a label, but they will never get anywhere with this kind of coalition and their efforts are dragged down to its level.
Can you create a nationalist and patriotic movement with weird alienated people who hate their country and its symbols? No.
Can you succeed in politics with people who do not believe in political organizing? No, again.
Can you attract popular support by engaging in sociopathic behavior and outbursts? No, again.
Can you be a “revolutionary” without doing anything more “revolutionary” than whining to a group chat on Telegram? No, again.
Is a group chat or an internet forum a Volksgemeinschaft? No, again.
Can people who do not have their own families or who are alienated from their family create a Volksgemeinschaft by posting lots of angry comments on the internet or dressing up like Spiderman and marching down Main Street with Chud Tribe? No, again.
Is there such a thing as an American folk movement which doesn’t include White women or Christians? No, again. Not even close.
You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with in life.
If you surround yourself with schizos, losers, feds, sociopaths, manic depressives and clowns, you will sink down to their level. There are countless things that I could point out that I dislike about MAGA (see Israel), but the average MAGA supporter is someone like Corey Comperatore who is a net positive to society. That was one of the reasons why I supported Trump in the 2024 election.
Am I being overly harsh here? Probably.
I am not trying to offer some kind of unqualified defense of MAGA. I do think it has far more going it than “NS” though like the support of millions of normal, hardworking, decent, patriotic White people. I would rather work to pull MAGA in a more radical direction than waste my time on “NS” which decades of experience has shown to be an utterly hopeless lost cause by comparison.
“NS” is things like attacking Charlie Kirk’s widow or celebrating his murder. It is the guy who gets excited to see normal White people suffer. It is people who will randomly show up and post inappropriate comments on X like “bet you had sex with black guys” to White women. It is the weirdo in the Spiderman costume screaming racial epithets on Main Street. It is people who follow Terrorgram channels. It attracts dysfunctional people who have a peculiar malevolent personality and temperament.
If you are not one of them, you are in the right place.

On another note, since I don’t see much discussion of this, it just so happens that Tyler Robinson, who was a high performing student, got into this thing called the Center for Anticipatory Intelligence (CAI), which is run by a woman who happens to be a “former” CIA employee. They publicly boast about using this program as a recruiting tool for the agency. Couple of years after getting into this program, Tyler Robinson happens to be the number one suspect in one of the most grandiose and very broadcasted public assassinations since JFK. You could also look into who owns the building and grounds where they found the rifle. Tyler Robinson may very well be involved in the plot to murder Kirk, but I do not think he fired the bullet. He’s just another layer of decoy, and he was probably given assurances that he would walk, which it is likely he will because the 30-06 to the front of the neck not gore-ing the entire back of the tent makes zero sense. In any case, anyone with the currently available information who still thinks this is a lone wolf who acted to protect his trans lover is an absolute goober. Exactlt who ordered the hit and why is up for debate, and that’s about it.

There is nothing wrong with enjoying history or writing about history. The difference is that I have self awareness to recognize that history is history which is not true of the “NS” community.
I don’t live in the past. I don’t spend every single day writing about the Confederacy or Confederate ideology. I’m not a crypt keeper. I don’t believe it is possible to return to the Confederacy. It is true that Americans are extremely divided like in the pre-Civil War era and there is a sectional and cultural element to it, but we are divided in different ways which I have explained at length.
The Confederacy is part of our heritage. I support preserving our monuments and love my ancestors (I named my son after Andrew Jackson and Stonewall Jackson), but I am not interested in relitigating the Civil War or restoring slavery. If a National Divorce happened in the 21st century, it would likely fall along different lines and it would probably be the West Coast states which seceded.
And yes, I am utterly normal and well adjusted compared to you people. I’ve been married for 12 years. I have three children. I have a great relationship with my parents. I actually like my neighbors. I go to church. I voted for the president. I have a job and a house. My politics are mainstream in my state. I like my state. I’m involved in my community. I do things like take my kids trick or treating and help them with their homework. In contrast, I see a bunch of sick activists celebrating Charlie Kirk getting murdered because you really can’t help yourselves and let your sociopathy hang out.

Prior to WW2 , America was far more racist than anything in NS Germany. Up through WW1 jwz weren’t allowed to work in the armaments factories or be officers in the military.
America once had stronger racial consciousness than anything in NSDAP. The NSDAP drew many of its eugenics guidelines from California’s eugenics laws.
I don’t think the NSDAP will fit America, but I do believe that we can go beyond them in eugenics. first we need a nucleus of WHITE solidarity .
Important difference: southern whites are not MAGA’s sole constituency. Ignore this if like, but obviously it massively constrains what can be achieved.

Southern Whites are a distinct ethnic group. There are other groups of White people who live here. None of them have the degree of solidarity that we do which I thought was funny and which inspired this article.
Germans in the 1930s were extremely divided compared to us. Class politics actually existed there. Racial consciousness was low. Southern politics are about racial and cultural difference because of the legacy of slavery.
When the historic National Socialists talked about a Volksgemeinschaft, they were talking about Germany’s loss of cohesion and the need for ethnic solidarity. They were trying to remedy that unfortunate situation.
In the United States in 2025, there are vast swathes of the country, particularly in rural America, not just in the South, where Whites are extraordinarily unified. You can go to parts of Appalachia as a leftist and you will stand out as a freak. Whole towns and communities are MAGA
