Washington Times: Trump’s Border Wall Sees Slow Start In Second Term

Hard to swallow pills:

230,000 interior deportations in 2025.

27 miles of border wall were completed in 2025.

Washington Times:

“Nearly 7 of those miles were completed by the Defense Department.

That means Customs and Border Protection, the Homeland Security Department agency that oversees the boundaries, has finished only about 20 miles despite expansive legal powers to waive environmental laws and a massive infusion of cash in this summer’s budget bill.

We’ve got to ramp that up, for sure,” Tricia McLaughlin, homeland security assistant secretary, told The Washington Times. “CBP is working on it.”

The slow progress on the wall stands in stark contrast with the rest of the border situation. …”

The border is currently the success story of Trump’s second term, but all the policies that he has in place can simply be dismantled in a day like they were when Biden was president.

They don’t even have to wait that long. If Trump continues on his insane path, he’ll be “making a deal” with a D-jersey congress starting a year from now. Just look at how fast the D-jerseys – now in total control of Virginia thanks to likely massive vote-fraud plus unchecked migration of foreigners – have reversed everything attempted by the Youngkin administration and Repuke legislators. Just like that.

From 2016 to 2020, Trump made lots of noise and did very little, even about the massive operation carried out in 2020. The minute “Joe Biden” was installed, a full-blown invasion was underway while the GOP did zero to oppose it. Trump was elected in 2024 and we got a flurry of promising EOs – half of which are overturned or stalled by lawfare – and a GOP now ready to push another amnesty. While border crossings have stopped (until a blackrobe decrees they should be allowed to commence again) none of the major employers of illegals has been carted off to jail or even prosecuted. When Charlie Kirk was killed, Trump said they’d go after the funders of Transtifa, etc. Months later not one of the (((big funders))) has even been charged, much less arrested. Republicans never actually fight their ostensible enemies – they only pretend to.

Exactly, his achievements are ephemeral, at best. He hasn’t done anything to legislatively stop birth right citizenship or repeal any of the 1960’s insanity.

  2. This is a combined whole of government resistance approach to Trump’s policies. None of the departments have been fully under control of the WH. DoD is the stand out mostly because it already had the least amount of treaties inside of it of any department. I am curious however as to what stage the wall is under project management. At any rate, with incursions and penetration into the US at record lows, Trump typically doesn’t have this on his front burner.

I have excellent sources at the border. They told me at the beginning of Trump’s term that the cartels would switch their modes of transportation and depending on how hard Trump actually pushes would essentially stop most of the human smuggling across the border and wait out till Trump’s term ended.

Other sources told me that their interloceteurs in the US such as Republican CEOs and Democrat NGOs would continue to lawfare any interior illegal alien enforcement operations and wait out till Trump’s term ended. The hope was Trump WH would take eye off border, not militarize it effectively and not fortify it.

You see, deconstructing a wall is almost as hard as constructing it. It’s also bad BAD optics, for the deconstructing a wall is like literally throwing open the gates and tearing down the wall of Jerusalem Bible stories. That will run like a firestorm in Patriot America.

As usual, Trump has inability to concentrate on multiple projects for any decisive period of time and has still surrounded himself with self interested sycophants more than Patriots. So, aside from a few key advisors, there is still only Trump around who can would the reins multi laterally. Lately for building he has been focused on making the WH more beautiful than building a wall. Just as typically, the complainers do nothing but point and spurt like that sperg avatar cuz Trump isn’t doing something instead of working locally at their state and local GOP to put pressure on the Administration.

  3. The Republican Party is the Party of business. For most businesses wages and benefits are the single largest cost by a wide margin. Hiring Third World types, even if not as competent, trustworthy or productive as Americans (i.e. White people) drives down the businessman’s costs considerably.

The businessmen behind the Republican Party, whether running a small business or oligarchs (the Adelsons) always want to drive down labor costs to increase profits. If it means selling off their own country for money, so be it, they just don’t care. This is ultimately how California went Left.

Agricultural interests, particularly in the Central Valley and Wine Country always wanted more cheap, migrant labor to do the hard, dirty work in the fields. The Republicans they elected made sure the flow of illiterates from Central and S. America never stopped to keep wages low. This was repeated over many years also in suburbs with gardeners, cleaners, manual laborers etc. This kept wages down and turned the state Third World over several decades along with the immigration of wogs.

That great “Conservative”, Pres. Reagan drove the nail in the coffin of the U.S. 40 years ago by signing the 1986 amnesty bill at the behest of his businessmen friends who owned him instead of deporting the Third World types. What have the “Conservatives” conserved anyway when they have been in power? As Upton Sinclair noted: “It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.”
