DHS Secretary Kristi Noem aka ICE Barbie, who presided over only 230,000 deportations from the interior in 2025 and spending hundreds of millions of dollars on an ad campaign, is pushed out shortly after Trump used Minneapolis as an excuse to cuck on “mass deportations.”
As many of you will recall, the One Big Beautiful Bill tripled the annual DHS budget and funded the creation of detention facilities for “mass deportations” of illegal aliens which have not materialized. Donald Trump went to war with Iran last weekend and shortly after announced that Kristi Noem is being replaced by Sen. Markwayne Mullin whose top donor is AIPAC. We’re now at war with Iran and AIPAC is installing one of their strongest soldiers at DHS which is flooded with all of this cash for years.

Trump launched this war with Iran for Israel with no public debate or input. This was planned in secret with Bibi Netanyahu for years and executed without a vote by Congress. This is a man who spent over a decade lying to his voters and deceiving them into believing he was the “Peace President.”

The Democrats will take the House and a couple of Senate seats. Either the Republicans will have a 1-2 seat majority (but Collins of Maine and Murkowski of Alaska might as well be Democrats). Vance’s job will be more of a tie-breaker than anything else assuming that the pusillanimous Republicans grow a set and try to pass any right-leaning legislation that does not merely enrich the oligarchy.
Rubio wasted absolutely NO time implicating Netanyahu going rogue to draw Iran’s firepower on the United States. I suspect that Iran allowed Trump to declare victory on behalf of Israel with the attacks of last summer, but made it clear that if it happened again, Americans and their bases would be targeted. Thus, Rubio’s remarks to imply that America was being dragged in by Netanyahu if we liked it or not.
Vance has already leaked that he and most of the rest of Trump’s cabinet tried their best to talk Trump out of it, but since there was no way to talk Trump out, Vance as his loyal vice-president shut up and saluted and then swallowed his misgivings while doing his part to implement it. Vance clearly saw how former Vice President is universally loathed by Trump’s MAGA and America First base, so he is shrewdly trying to walk a fine line between the stupidity of blind loyalty and risking his own shot at the presidency.
My gut feeling is that Rubio not Vance will be the GOP presidential nominee. Vance will be retained as his Vice Presidential running mate. Vance will be convinced to let Rubio to the front of the line so that the GOP can win Hispanic voters who were instrumental in the White male candidate, James Talarico’s victory over the blacketty-black Jasmine Crockett.
Vance needs to be kept on so that the GOP’s White voter base does not feel slighted and will turn out rather than be so demoralized they will stay home. IMO, Vance will keep his eyes on the prize and be a good team player seeing an Hispanic and White coalition (and probably the dot-Indians for USHA) as his future base.
If they are smart, they will bring Ron DeSantis to head DHS and FEMA, in particular. I can see DeSantis enforcing e-verify for housing on landlords and employment on businesses without all the fuss and flash of ICE Barbie.
