The only socialism in this country is for the bankers and the financial class. Trillions of zero or less than zero interest loans and over a trillion in cash when they, crash the housing market with fraud and, likely, cause covid.
The only way to fix this, short of hanging them all from the telephone poles, is to take the profit out of it. Take the individual personal profit out of financial, insurance, non-profits, hedge funds, utilities, etc. businesses. Make it so they can not make over 20 times minium wage. All of the monopoly businesses should be done like this. You would still have people in all of these and they could make a good living but the incentive to screw everything and everything to the wall for profits would be greatly lessoned.
Same with trade. You want to import products. Then you max out at 20 times minimum wage. Minus raw materials. So small proprietorships could import goods and still make a decent wage but large corporations would have to stop or be paid far less. We have some crafty people in this country and I’m sure in the name of lining their pockets they could find a way to make stuff in the US.
This also might be a way to get wages up.
