I would say it is more like they have become increasingly detached from reality. The country woke up this morning to the president throwing a tantrum because he lost the Nobel Peace Prize. Two days ago, he declared that anyone who uses the pronouns “AI” to refer to “Super Intelligence” is THE ENEMY. A few weeks ago, he signed an executive order to rename Lake Ontario because he was mad at Canada. The country sees him slipping into a Caligula-like state of madness as the economy sinks.
Note: Trump is also barnstorming around Red States in October … Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, Florida, Ohio, Nebraska. He going to Tennessee today and Alaska soon.
