Pope Benedict XVI: Luther wasn't a heretic

Rome

In line with our theory that the Universal Church of Political Correctness is poised to be swept out of power in the West by its own version of the Reformation, the Vatican has caught the scent of the death of liberalism and has started to position itself for dealing with the aftermath.

The Catholic Church hasn’t survived for almost two thousand years by being stupid. It is enjoying the impression being formed in the minds of millions of Americans that Washington is the Whore of Babylon:

Pope Benedict XVI is to rehabilitate Martin Luther, arguing that he did not intend to split Christianity but only to purge the Church of corrupt practices.

Pope Benedict will issue his findings on Luther (1483-1546) in September after discussing him at his annual seminar of 40 fellow theologians — known as the Ratzinger Schülerkreis — at Castelgandolfo, the papal summer residence. According to Vatican insiders the Pope will argue that Luther, who was excommunicated and condemned for heresy, was not a heretic. . . .

Cardinal Kasper said: “We have much to learn from Luther, beginning with the importance he attached to the word of God.” It was time for a “more positive” view of Luther, whose reforms had aroused papal ire at the time but could now be seen as having “anticipated aspects of reform which the Church has adopted over time”.

Why is now the time for a more positive view of Luther?

Because the same conditions which created Luther and Calvin are about to be unleashed on Cultural Marxism. Their downfall works to the advantage of the Roman Catholic Church. For hundreds of years, the Vatican has dreamed of the downfall of liberalism, and the rehabilitation of its own image in the countries lost to Rome.

In 2011, the SPLC, the ACLU, and the ADL are the Inquisition. The priests of political correctness write for the Washington Post and the New York Times. It is the pious liberal establishment in the West, not the Vatican, that terrorizes ordinary people for heresies against its stupid and wildly unpopular fantasy ideology.

The Vatican knows that it is only a matter of time before the secular humanist eunuchs are swept out of power in the Protestant countries. The people are determined to separate from the rotten liberal establishment which has set the West on a course to spiritual, cultural, and economic oblivion.

As always, Rome stands ready to take advantage of the situation, having been forced to adapt to liberalism against its own better instincts. You will be amazed at how quickly it will change its tune once the eunuchs fall from power.

Rome saying that Luther wasn’t a heretic. The Vatican building a statue of Galileo. Well played.

Note: Unlike Washington, Rome has a long memory and is flexible enough to admit its own mistakes. It will bring its own heretics back into the fold and give them a special place of honor.

If Martin Luther were alive today, he would have Wikipedia, Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, YouTube, and smart phones at his disposal to “witness” the unprecedented corruption of the liberal establishment. He could unleash a similar hurricane with one small viral wave by touching that same raw nerve.

In the best tradition of “Occidental Dissent,” let’s give the liberal establishment another history lesson:

  1. It just seems to me to be another politically correct move. First the Jews, now Luther, what next, they’ll rehabilitate Satan?

  2. The Vatican is a practical and self interested institution. It sails the seas of history. Its position at any given moment is a reflection of the constellation of secular power. Once you understand that, you can understand and predict its behavior.

In the 1940s, the Vatican avoided conflict with Hitler. It is the ultimate self interested chameleon.

  3. The Roman Catholic leadership in Congress, Boehner-Pelosi, just gave us a meaningless debt deal with no real cuts in spending, and set up a committee which is being called the “Council of 13” to deal with the real issues of importance to Roman Catholics and their Jew allies.

Boehner and Pelosi are both bold faced Roman Catholic lairs of the worst sort.

Ther their is Roman catholic Biden who is calling the Protestant opposition terrorists.

You could make a good case that the “Council of 13” is a Roman Catholic & Jew version of the old Soviet Politburo.

  4. “Then there is Roman Catholic Biden who is calling the Protestant opposition terrorists.”

Everyday it becomes clearer that the Roman Catholics in Congress are as much or more of a problem than the Jews.

Btw, that bleach blonde Polish Catholic shank on Morning Joe is that dumb ass Pollock Zbigniew Kazimierz Brzezinski Polish born daughter.

  5. The Roman Catholics don’t get it—we Protestants could care less what the Pope, any priest, or any Roman Catholic thinks about Luther, Calvin, Tyndale, Zwingli, Knox, Phillips, Wesley or any other leader of the Protestant Reformation.

  6. I am not and have never been a Catholic, but I recall what Joseph Sobran said, more or less: You have to respect an institution that is, not twenty or a hundred years behind the times, but a millennium. They have an institutional memory second only to the Jews’.

  7. Earlmundo – “Pelosi” is an Argentinian Jewish name.. I think she’s a Crypto. Shew RAVES over Jews, and Jewry, and blathers about how FABULOUS and marvelous her Jew neighbors, in SF are, and how she would do ANYTHING for them, ad infinitum…

Hark! The smell of gefelte fish is stong….

Biden is a sad old tired played out whore. He has taken his 30 shekels ages ago. Remeber when he was n Israel, some time ago, and the Hebes gangsters gave him some sort of framed document – and the glass was broken?

Biden knows how high to jump, when told to jump. Most Catholics aren’t Catholics anymore. If you find Tridentine Catholics – you’ve found a treasure worth more than all the gold and gems on Earth. But most are corrupted Vatican II heretics. The tide is obviously turning, though..

  8. Nope – the “catholics” rehabilitated Satan already. During Vatican II.

Earlmundo I care about what Catholics think. A care a lot. And I’m not Catholic.

  9. @ Earlmundo: do you take credit for Nelson Aldrich and Robert Owen, just two of the several English-American luminaries who gave us the Fed and the federal income tax? Or were they Catholics too? And how about Lincoln, the originator of the imperial presidency and federal government, was he also Catholic? If you were honest you might admit that the catholics “leaders” are putting the frosting on a cake gladly baked by their English-American protestant predecessors, making us all debt slaves to foreign financial interests.

  10. In the 1940s, the Vatican avoided conflict with Hitler. It is the ultimate self interested chameleon.

I see no reason for Protestants to eschew a system of alliances with the Catholic Church. The strengths of both approaches to religion can be used to cover the weaknesses.

  11. Svigor -the Church is the Christ. Not the denominatoons. When are we all going to finally learn to be WHITE?

  12. As the Catholic in the commbox, I point out that this rapprochement is not that new. Remember, the Catholic and Lutheran churches were able to agree on the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification 14 years ago; it hardly looked like a European revolt was imminent in 1997.

I am not a Luther expert, but from what I have read find it hard to believe Church doctrine would not find him heretical, and the other way around. But the declaration itself certainly looks orthodox, so if Catholics and many Protestants now agree, I am glad.

I’m glad you give the Galileo statue thing a good spin too, but I just see it as the same type of reparation for guilt liberal Southerners often make.

  13. The Catholic church is like most (all?) other Christian institutions these days–completely infested with liberalism. This is a result of the auto-destruction of the church resulting from Vatican II–the capitulation of the church to the forces of liberalism and modernism within.

The leadership of the church in this respect is no different from the leadership of the Anglican church, the United Methodist church, the government of Norway, the government of the US, etc… they are all busy with progressive “social justice” utopian treachery.

As a result, the majority of Catholics (traditionalist Catholics excepted) like the majority of Jews and mainline Protestants are mislead and support the destruction of Western civilization. Liberalism and modernism are known heresies within the church, which the great popes of the nineteenth and early twentienth century repeatedly warned against.

Most people mistake the liberal version of Jesus for the real one, who threw the moneychangers out of the temple. The corrosive results are before our eyes now.

  14. I think you jumped the shark on this one. Luther has been excommunicated and his teachings condemned as heresy. Similar heresy by the way of the eunuchs, DWLs and Marxists. It will be the proverbial cold day in hell.

It is sad though that the Church has failed to excommunicate similar heretics like Pelosi and Kennedy.

  15. “Federale says:

It is sad though that the Church has failed to excommunicate similar heretics like Pelosi and Kennedy.”

    Wait. That’s coming. Not tomorrow – but it’s coming…

  16. Americans have a hard enough time telling you who is on the Supreme Court. How many of them do you think understand Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation?

    Smart move by Rome.

  17. Hey Earlmundo, you forgot THIS leader of The Reformation, but as you’re a religious bigot this ones for you.

You may talk of your Protestant Minister
And his creed without meaning or Faith
For the foundations stones of his temple
Were the bollocks of Henry the Eighth.

    Grow up arsehole.
