White House Chief of Staff John Kelly is being attacked by the anti-White Left in the media for comments praising Confederate General Robert E. Lee, saying that good men fought on both sides in Abraham Lincoln’s war against Dixie and that the war was caused by a lack of compromise – comments which would have been completely mainstream a generation or two ago before the country was flooded with non-White immigrants and the culture was shifted far to the Left. Christina Wilkie, a reporter for CNBC, used Twitter to live-blog Monday’s interview, on the Fox News program “The Ingraham Angle.” Her tweet quoting Mr. Kelly’s “lack of an ability to compromise” statement spread quickly.
The reaction was swift and unforgiving, with many commenters ridiculing Mr. Kelly for suggesting that slavery was an issue on which a compromise could or should have been reached.
Within less than two hours, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s daughter Bernice King had weighed in on Mr. Kelly’s description of Robert E. Lee as “honorable,” calling his comments “irresponsible” and “dangerous”and criticizing him for making “fighting to maintain slavery sound courageous.”
On Tuesday, the White House did not back down. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the press secretary, said there was “pretty strong consensus” among people from “the left, the right, the North and the South” that a failure to compromise contributed to the war.
The article goes to tell how the Left is outraged by Kelly’s remarks, making their disdain for Southerners open for all to see.
NPR ran a breathless story about this today. They also ran a story about a hate incident at College of Charleston. It really is National Propaganda Radio. Can’t understand why the GOP has not demanded an end to funding NPR. The default assumption from NPR is always that the South was bad, the North was good and that the war was all about slavery. Not a word about Lincoln’s support for the Corwin Amendment, something that proves it was just about slavery.

Grant, Point Pleasant, Ohio! By the way, back in the mid 70’s, I visited Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. It left a great impression on me, the beautiful campus & the two men it was named after.
