The few I met in school were Sephardim. They mainly stood out by their reticence, or quiet participation in school activities.
They had the weird habit of lying about where they lived, or if you saw them in public, at Burger King, they’d say; “No you didn’t,” even if you’d made eye contact with them. They seemed like they didn’t want people to know they were Jews, or had lives outside of school, families, etc, or that they even existed. Or anything about them.
Note that she does not admit to struggling with the inconsistency in her own mind, but only with delivering the appropriate mental gymnastics to rationalize the inconsistency in such a way that goyim will accept it. By her own admission, she finds the Jewish state thrilling.
